Guildford to capture their first major EIHL trophy. Look out for something of a shocker this Sunday down in Cardiff. My money is on a narrow Flames victory in an open end to end contest. Grapes Count = Belfast 4 : Flames 5. Looking forward to some really ENTERTAINING hockey after watching this season's offerings by the Panthers.

You won't see much entertainment in this game either.. like I say 8 out of 10 games are bloody awful these days so to catch those 2 half decent ones you need to be lucky

Both teams have fast skaters so we should see a higher paced game than what we've seen at the NIC this season at least!
Although at an early bird price of £12 to watch it online I don't think I'll be bothering

Ticket sales are crap. Bet this is virtually the CC cup final the EIHL hierarchy dreaded. 😆

'Anyone going' ...I know an outside chance. But I collect the Cup final programmes. Wondered if anyone can pick me one up?

I'm hoping for a lacklustre final in an empty rink so the EIHL will take a serious look at revamping the competition and get it done before Xmas.

Looks like about 700-750 sold in the Belfast blocks and 1000-1100 in the Guildford blocks. Possibly end up with 2000 in a 3100 seat arena for a cup final. The format needs changing and the final held before Christmas.

They are offering a webcast now. £12 early bird offer and £15 on Sunday. I wouldn't pay that to watch Panthers in the final if we were there!!

Ridiculous money. This is the sort of game that should be on Freesports anyway.
Good luck to Guildford.

I echo the sentiment of doing it by Christmas! But lets be honest, if they tried to hold a final before Christmas, the EIHL would probably be worried about money.
I think it should be groups, semis and final. we play 6 games to eliminate like 3 teams? pointless!

Dropping back in to say that the good fellows of Cardiff Media (TK passed this on) have contacted me to arrange a purchase £5 + postage tomorrow. Even got an Inferno supporter to offer help if needed. Good set up there.

I see the EIHL have naffed off the Guildford and Belfast fans by dropping the CC final ticket price today from £22 to £15 because of poor ticket sales. Shocking decision in my opinion, you can’t do that when people have already paid the full price. In the first place they’re greedy charging £22 a ticket, then they announce £12 rising to £15 for the webcast,it’s just daylight robbery they’re taking the fans for granted big time.

It does seem like desperately bad planning, as usual.
Firstly, why play on a Sunday, when there are a bunch of other games going on? Then as soon as you get a Guildford/Belfast matchup you're obviously going to have to price it competitively to attract a decent crowd. £22 quid? Robbery.
It's like it's all setup for Cardiff to get there every year.

My wife and I are going and paid £22 per ticket as advertised - our choice. But, we are not happy at this price reduction gimmick that will no doubt entice some 'locals' to the game. Who made this decision ? The management at the Cardiff Arena, the Management at the Elite League or was there input from Mr Kelman and his hometown Devils ? Perhaps all three put their collective 'brains' together ? Whatever, very unfair and yet another example of shafting the supporters who give time, effort and hard cash into keeping this sport alive in the UK. Thinking seems to be ;- Cash first, last and everything in-between. As for the fans they can sod off !

Surely you can ask for the difference back or threaten to cancel due to the increase saying you'll contact trading standards. If all those that bought earlier did the same and could have their money returned that would teach them Another Q and A query as to why this was done at the Play-Offs fans thingymajig.

Overtime. Dunno the procedure. 5-on-5, 20 minute periods. Proper elimination hockey.
