Does anyone else think that if we give somebody a good thrashing, it might do us the world of good.
Maybe someone gets to one of those normally over hit passes in front of the net, a couple of shots get deflected in or the N/M fluffs it, those sort of things?

I would likely say, yes, giving someone else a thumping will no doubt raise the confidence of the team; it has to be relatively low given the way this season has gone. I may go to this one, although on a course in Stevenage so depends what time I get home.

Good to see about 5 players at "optional practice"
I can't wait to hear for somebody to tell me how much this team cares.

We'll crush them like a bunch of grapes. Grapes Count = Panthers 5 : Stars 1. Can see Panthers continue their outstanding point sequence under the coaching brilliance of Field Marshall Strachan. The Stars will be seeing stars trying to contend with the offensive brilliance of Rocket Richard, Rampant Jon Rheault and Killer Kovacs. I would image the Stars will be having sleepless nights at the thought of having to face such prolific sharpshooters.

The Panthers is run as a business and we are treated as consumers. As the Value for money is not good and there is a "facilities" surcharge partly for a new scoreboard which isn't needed I will skip the remanning home matches. Its a matter of principle

Its a matter of principle In theory, the new scoreboard should hopefully enhance the fan satisfaction and fan interaction during games. I don't think it'll be as big as Sheffields but hopefully it can do the same if not more. I believe the facility fee is down to the arena, not Panthers, too. The facility fee applies to all events, not just Panthers.

Somehow I doubt it ! 🙄

Forest are owned and backed by Multi-Millionaires and it's the largest team of the most popular sport in the city, the modernisation and increase in capacity will bring in millions of pounds in the future. Forest have the potential to go up to the Premier League in the near future and what better way to put themselves in a stronger position than to increase capacity and modernise. Neil Black may be a millionaire but he/Panthers won't solely fund a new scoreboard which could cost hundreds of thousands due to the fact it won't bring in more fans and likely won't bring in much more money, as well as due to the Arena not even being owned by Black or the club. The Arena who own the facility should be the ones who pay for it, but they too won't want to fork out a large lump sum of money immediately to implement the changes, so they introduce a facilities fee which is a small amount of money extra on top of ticket prices and for ST holders they don't even pay it. It's a fair deal in my eyes.

The line from the box office was that it was mainly for the Panthers.

As long as it shows the score and penalties that’s all that matters really. Even the old scoreboard could quite happily spell out “happy 7th birthday little Johnny“.

If you went to a garage and hired a car and they added an extra charge towards fitting new brakes every few years what would you think to that ? Why should fans pay for somebody’s else’s arena, the arena that errr the arena makes money from ?

Why should fans pay for somebody’s else’s arena, the arena that errr the arena makes money from ? This is like the first additional charge, besides booking fee, I've ever known the arena to dish out and they've stated why they did it and we'll see the improvements next season. New scoreboard and new plexi, I feel sorry for people who sit lower down because the plexi is truly awful in some places and hopefully the height of the plexi will be increased in the areas which see people hit by the puck frequently. The only fans who benefit from a new scoreboard and new plexi are ice hockey fans, the club won't pay for it on their own and neither will the arena. Fans have been saying how dated the scoreboard is and how good it'd be for a new one, for a long time and there's always comments about plexi every so often. I don't know how much the facility fee is, I know it's in the pennies though so is it actually that big a deal?

It's 90p a ticket.
The real question is whether the venue fee disappears once the scoreboard appears. Maybe there'll be something else that needs improving for our benefit...
Still, game thread and all that. I disagree with Lou's grapes, I think we'll win but a relatively close scoreline. Might even need extras. Dundee should be scrapping for every point they can get at this stage.

The facility fee is £0.90 on an adult ticket so from EIHL hockey alone this season they will rake in something like £200k. How many years have we been paying this fee now (two is it) and how much is a new scoreboard ? Mmmm....It’s another rip off !
