Farmer now on a 5 game point scoring streak, with 2+5 in those games. That line was excellent last night. As Shaggy says, the Guptill line, and Guptill himself especially, seemed to be "slack", although he did break sweat in the third.

Credit where it’s due, so a thumbs up for a win despite going down very early on. Jono has tweeted 9 wins in the last 30 games; how unbelievably pathetic is that stat. Last 30 league games have been 9 wins 2 OT wins 1 PS win 11 losses 5 OT losses 2 PS losses 31 out of 60 points, 0.517 hockey. Not awful, but a long way from great.

Just to clarify that's 9 regulation wins and 11 regulation losses? I say clarify, it's the only way it adds up to 30!

Just to clarify my analysis was based on the last 30 games in all competitions prior to Sunday’s game.

Somewhat poor mid season form... So just why does this same mid season slump keep happening year after year. It reallly is mind boggling and it can’t possibly be every set of new players,so what is it ?

Munson's double save near the end of the 3rd Period was just class. Felt that we were better offensively but defensively, I was concerned. Not getting cover for Olsen is a mistake. Loved the fact that Panthers players were getting called for holding yet Fife players weren't getting called for it. Whist I fear for us in The Play-Off Quarter Finals anyway, if we get Fife, I can only imagine what's going to get called It’s looking very much like we’re gonna get Fife or Guildford......who would you rather play ? TBH, the way we are playing, you don't fancy our chances over 2 Legs. But the way this Season has been going, I'm not sure that supporters of teams seeded 3-8 are all that confident of making Play Off Weekend.
That saying, while we have beaten Guildford in the past, the memories of The Challenge Cup Semi Finals and recent league games are fresh in our minds and they do have the better skaters than Fife.
So I would say Fife but I believe that they have the better N/M also they still have those extra games to play, so tiredness and/or injuries could come into play.
However whenever you play Fife, you have to go there and with their fans and the standard of officiating you get when we play in Fife that's a major concern. So if we are playing The Flyers, I would like it if for both Legs, you either get 2 English and 2 Scottish Officials or the Scottish Refs are in Nottingham and vice versa.
Here's my question to you, considering the distance, would you play the 1st Leg at home regardless of seeding and make them come here and then travel back but run the risk of playing the 2nd Leg in an hostile building (Especially if it's close?)

I would always play the second leg at home, every time especially in a play off game where it’s do or die. Agree about the netminders,Owen is capable of winning a game but I reckon Guildfords netties are their weak link. Guildford are the more likely of the two teams to blow you away in one of the games though. I’d take Fife rather than Guildford.

What was the problem between Rissling and Owen?

What was the problem between Rissling and Owen? Rissling got far too excited that his team managed to beat Fife in OT, and let his inner playground child take over.

He, like many on the team, specifically Bolduc, do not like Owen. It all started earlier in the season and further antics from Owen in Sunday's game was the catalyst in giving Rissling and Bolduc the opportunity to give Owen a piece of their minds after the game winning goal. Just glad to see some character in this team.

I've seen worse in netball.

Rissling is a character... we need more of the likes of him.. he does his best preventing games being dull as dishwater (as 8 out of 10 games are these days!)

True enough Bob, when the likes of Robins was around, if you went near his crease you got a chop to the back of the legs for your troubles... ask Ian Cooper how much fun that was...
