Feel we've seen more than enough of the season to be able to formulate opinions on every player, so what do people think of each player? and who would people like to keep and who would we not like to see back?
Try to keep it somewhat reasonable and provide a little explanation behind opinions too.

Garnett - Go - get someone younger, more consistent and motivated Munson - Stay (same role as this year) Gospel - Stay Hughes - Stay- very good two way player in his prime Rissling - Stay - dependable in his own end, not afraid to hit and fight, solid D man Lepine - 2 year deal Olsen - Stay - been very impressed, constant voice, excellent two way D man and someone we should be looking to tie down IMO Billingsley - Go very replaceable Lee - Go- needs something fresh I feel, just think he makes too many mistakes that lead to Grade A opportunities Tetlow - Stay on limited ice time, playing far too much Lachowicz - Go. Coasting far too much Farmer - Stay- how can we get him to recreate the form from the days when he was an absolute pest and always in peoples faces? Stewart - Stay. With right line mates 70 point per season man Perlini - Stay, after a slow start has shown good quality when with consistent line mates Henderson - Stay, excellent stick and responsible defensively. Always in an excellent position and is a workhorse Guptill - Stay - as natural a point scorer as you’ll see, you have to take the rough with the smooth Rheault - 2 year deal. An injury free year and I think we’ll see the best of him Pither - 50/50- not had the year that we all expected. On his day top quality, has had too many stretches of inconsistency Kovacs - go - just don’t think he is effective enough. Drifts in and out of games and stretches. Richard - Go - very replaceable, average mid season pick up Betteridge - apart from Perls our best Brit. Absolute workhorse who is an excellent hitter and forechecker. 100% every shift. Bolduc - Stay - another solid, responsible veteran forward who wins key face offs. Like his chippy plays and seems to really care, has a presence.

Hurtubise - Go - can’t criticise his effort. But just hasn’t scored the goals or the points that we thought he could.

Strachan - Dump and should have gone months ago. Family ties will probably keep him in a job but basically he’s a waste of skin.
Lacowitcz - Dump. Get rid and get a Brit youngster in and replace with an import. Currently the definition of what’s wrong with signing a passport rather than a player. Lee - Dump. Same as above. Far too easy to put under pressure. Can’t clear the zone and his passing is woeful. Not even half the player he was all those years ago before his injury. Billingsley - Dump. Pity he was back this past year. Hertubise - Dump. Joint biggest disappointment of the season. Should have been gassed months ago. Lepine - Dump proof as he’s on a two year deal. Slow as a barge and without his physical side to his game is pretty useless. Worst captain since DM. Rheault - On a two year deal again but after his weekend tweet I would dump. If that’s him really trying then he really isn’t a lot of use. Bulduc - If he isn’t captain dump. Easier to upgrade on than an iPhone in spring. Richard - You really want a reason? Just dump.
A whole season with only one forward who regularly scores. What idiot is in charge over there for goodness sake? It’s a basic requirement of the job.

Black - sell up and sod off to Bermuda to join his mates. Gary - retire.
Then we might get somewhere.

Garnett - Dump. He’s not been bad in his time and I think has attracted some unwarranted criticism at times but he’s getting on a bit now and could do with someone fresh.
Munson - keep as 2nd import goalie.
Gospel - keep
Lepine - would love to see his 2 year deal torn up. Tarnished his reputation by coming back
Hughes - 50/50 good at times. Was just expecting a little more. Especially in terms of physicality
Olsen - keep. Quality player
Rissling - keep. Very solid. More hardworking than others
Billingsley - dump. Didn’t rate him last season. Been even worse this
Lee - keep. Only on the basis that there aren’t any Brit d men available to replace him.
Would like to see a proper offensive d man. In the O’Connor or Hotham mould. Don’t think we’ve had a player of type since Cody Wild
Guptill - keep. Selfish but gets the job done
Kovacs - dump. After a good start he is now completely ineffective
Hurtubise - dump. Major disappointment.
Rheault - dump. Same as kovacs
Stewart - keep. If a team was built around him he could be a main man. At the minute he’s a square peg in a round hole
Henderson - keep only if he becomes player/coach and is maybe a spare
Richard - dump. Belongs on a team like MK or Dundee
Bolduc - 50/50. Solid if unspectacular
Pither - 50/50. We know he’s quality but he’s having a bad season and looks lost

I’d keep... Henderson (player coach) Munson Olsen Hughes Rissling Guptill Bolduc Perlini Farmer Ollie
The rest are either not of the quality we should have, just don’t produce or are stealing a wage because of their passport.

There’s a distinct pattern emerging here with peoples choices. Not hard to see who’s cutting the mustard on the ice and who isn’t is it. 🤨

Garnett - 50/50, think he's good but could see him retiring. Munson - Keep, if happy as spare goalie like now. Gospel - Keep, obviously.
Lee - Keep, no other choice. Tetlow - Keep, decent potential but should not be playing 1st or 2nd paring minutes. 7th D. Hughes - 50/50, Good skater, good physically at times, not great with the puck though. Rissling - Keep, very mobile for his size, good defensively and very physical. Olsen - Keep, calm and very experienced, deserves an A. Billingsley - 60/40 in favour of no. If he'd be happy as 5th/6th D then yes, any higher then no. Lepine - Dump. Uni deal means that won't happen.
Lachowicz - Dump. Not EIHL quality anymore sadly. Perlini - Keep. Farmer - Keep. Betteridge - Absolute keep. Bolduc - 50/50, I like him but age is creeping up and he isn't the quickest. Richard - Dump. Works hard, commendable effort and work ethic but doesn't produce enough. Kovacs - Dump. Doesn't produce enough, flashes of brilliance every 4 or 5 games and then nothing. Guptill - Keep. Give him a real playmaker and good god, imagine. Rheault - Dump. Hasn't cut it really, perhaps down to his teammates but doesn't produce enough. Stewart - Keep. Very creative and smart, lacks speed though. Henderson - Keep. Works hard, great size, potential player/coach as people have suggested. Hurtubise - Dump. Hasn't cut it but I feel he has a lot to offer, however, I haven't seen enough to want him back. Pither - Dump. Opposite player to last season, makes dump plays and takes poor penalties.
Definite keeps = 11 Dumps = 6 Unsure = 4

Not hard to see who’s cutting the mustard on the ice and who isn’t is it. 🤨 Pretty silly situation where you have inferior players paid due to their passport. Does the sport no good and does British ice hockey no good either. Love the under 23 rule but deadwood kept in a job year after year because of their passport is an absolute joke. If they are good enough they would get a place. Propping up former EPL standard players and keeping them in a job is just pathetic.

As for Pither, look at the lines he has been on all year. The guy hasn’t stood a chance. Guptill benched and Pither nullified. Almost like they should be checking coaches phones for betting apps.

Without getting shot of Black and Moran the rest is academic. Whilst I largely agree with the choices made above, if dumb and dumber stick around, along with their third rate entourage, then the culture and ethos will remain the same. Consequently the players brought in will, ultimately slip into the same tired routine.

I really find it hard to place the blame of this years shambles on the ability of the players. I get the sneaking suspicion that our on-ice roster, cut and pasted into Cardiff or Belfast, would have seen a much better outcome.
The off-ice department and the organisations relationship with the fans need to change, else we'll be stuck in perpetual mediocrity.

"Keeps"? Import wise, Hughes and Guptill are absolute musts. Hurtubise would be "nice to have", as would Lepine. That's about it. Pither has been a bit of a disappointment this season, compared to what he showed the back end of last season. I'm not high on Olsen, either. Keep all the Brits, but I think Lacho might be lucky to get an extension. OOAA

To the unenlightened, its undeniably perceivable that his appointment as "Assistant Coach" is the result of nepotism and a club ethos to utilise convenience rather than strive for improvement.
Dan's obviously not a bad guy, nor is he the cause of the clubs issues and I have no porblem with him working behind the scenes. But I think its an understandable reaction to dislike what Dan Green represents at the Panthers rather than the man himself.

So what there isn't many brit d men. Go and find some new ones! I'd even have swindlehurst back over Lee.. and it won't difficult replacing Lacho at all

Keep all the Brits, but I think Lacho might be lucky to get an extension. Unless Lacho is on a cheap contract, if the Hull Pirate's choose to stay in the NIHL again next season, I'd be approaching Bobby Chamberlain or Lee Bonner.
