Well what a disappointment that was. On the ice we were flat, lacked any identity and played straight into Guildford’s hands.
Roll on the summer.
Neil, I hope to god you are reading this forum and are reading what this loyal fanbase is putting.
Bold decisions need to be made in the summer. This club needs a complete restructure off the ice to give us the best chance of winning, we need a hierarchy that incorporates people who have experience in the game of ice hockey.
We need a complete, fresh coaching team to come in, ideally they need to be identified before the season has finished to give them a chance to study the league and witness the standard of hockey, along with the hierarchy that should be implemented.
It also needs pulling apart on the ice, this is with regards both imports and brits, because there are far too many passengers in this team. If we are serious about challenging, and we really want to see something change, then we need to make bold decisions and stop ourselves being blinded by past glories.

I like Guildford The team or the place? Yet I can imagine the debate on here should Panthers next year sign a team like Flames have. Players straight out of college, second year pros, guys who've played in the French second tier and the SPHL. One player on the entire team with more than 8 games played in the AHL. Why don't Panthers pick up players like Kruise Reddick? Who knows...?

With a bit more depth they would be right up challenging for the top.

Even though they lose just as much, or even more, than us, they do at least play good stuff in the process. Wish we did.

I got my head right and didn't go after all last night. Likewise no ST for next year etc... it's such a pity for the sport I like. It's just not the financial side for me, it's the fair competition against others that we don't apply, so we can't compete for that we are capable of. No, it doesn't say 'beating' on the tin but it doesn't say many others, like 'just make do'.

Wonder what Blacky’s thinking this morning ? That damn Belfast team make the CHL,both his teams get dumped out of the CC semi’s on the same night and less than 4000 at the NIC to see it too.

Really? You enjoy this endless negativity?
The only way it would've been full last night was ridiculous prices or free. Even less at Belfast.
Not often I agree with TFS, but he's spot on above. A proper team, quick, skilful, well drilled. Give them Panthers' player budget and the league would be chasing shadows, I think.

It isn't that simple in reality. Panthers have had quick skilled teams over the years under a good budget and produced F.A.

So either you're 'a right plonker' or the 'Spin Machine' at Pansies HQ has gone into overdrive!! Wonder which one it is?

Pathetic... went out with a whimper, no guts or drive or much of anything. Toothless forwards and incapable dmen. don't tell me the club are suffering injuries, there should be plenty of money left given how useless the team is if they haven't got cover imho its their own fault.
Oh and as much as I like to see the brits do well, jumping on the bandwagon, what use is lacho and to a lesser extent lee and as for tetlow, a good prospect but as a young up and coming player getting way too much ice time for his current ability and experience and hence at times looking like a rabbit in headlights.
Yes its the imports that should be winning you games but boy do we have an apathetic bunch of imports and brits, last night showed to me why I have seen the team once since xmas (stewarts first game) and why I believe an empty trophy cabinet awaits us this season. At least its saving me some money to go on holiday and forget all about season 18/19 and the instantly forgettable team...

I actually thought there was plenty of effort last night....but poor execution, poor plays and a seeming lack of cohesion in the offensive zone.
Flames shut us down perfectly and we don't have enough creative players to break that down.

To some extent I agree there was a lot of huff and puff but zero end point, if nothing else it shows very few imports are worth keeping and that the now head coach cant hack it as top dog...

I love seeing Black get a kicking yes. The saying goes that “you get out of something what you put in” and in his case it’s very true. Panthers simply should not be losing BOTH legs of a cup tie to a mid budget, mid table team like Guildford without so much as a whimper ! No disrespect to Guildford as they’re a decent well organised team, but for Panthers to get thrashed 8-3 over two legs is just pitiful. 🙄

In his recent interview, Neil Black said he had set Strachan targets too, and said he expected the CC and picking points up in the League. Well as we knew, there has been no change so we can only assume Neil will be a man of his word an gas him now? We need someone to take over so he can see if he want to keep anyone next season to build a team on, or maybe its bast they all go? We need the whole structure of the club changing from the top.

I usually don't post on this forum, but can't keep quiet any more. This team is a complete joke. As has been said here, we need to clear the club out from top to bottom. The players come in at the beginning of the season and are 1/2 decent, but after a couple of months they have realise it is just a pi$$ up. I mean how many other professional Sports players would you find in the pub next door ( one of the teams sponsors) helping themselves to free drinks behind bar and serving the fans beer. I know some fans would say this is great as they can get their shirts signed and the can tell them what hero's they are, but really this just confirms that they are here for a Hockey holiday and a pi$$ up ! You wouldn't find players in the other teams round the league doing this I am sure. What a Joke, and for a major sponsor to encourage this too! Panthers are about a good time ( beer etc) first and Hockey last, where as Cardiff and Belfast ( with a hockey lead management team) it certainly seems to be Hockey comes first an the beer last. This need to change if we are going to compete!

By the way, if there were 3,999 spectators at the game then I am the next British negotiator for Brexit. Then again listening to the Panthers post match summaries are quite like the Brexit fiasco. Lots of hot air and twaddle but no substance or credibility. Perhaps Boris Johnson fancies himself as an ice hockey coach ? I've heard Dianne Abbott was on the door counting the attendees

I couldn’t help but notice that on the highlights they said Stewart was ‘rested’ for yesterday’s game. Thoughts?

Either version of events may be true in this instance but they’ve shown themselves many many times that they’re an untrustworthy bunch.
