Name your favourite All-Time Panthers player with one simply reason why. From any era / standard of competition. Not the best or most talented but simply the one who became your particular favourite.

Simon Hunt for me, loyal, hard working and never backed down from a challenge.

Jimmy Paek for me. I started following hockey when he was here, just sheer class. Was great to see him back in Nottingham at xmas. Once he's finished his job with South Korea I hope he will come back here behind the bench.
Barry Nieckar is a close second though just for the pure fun factor. We may not have won much back then but boy was it entertaining. Hockey has changed and in my opinion not for the better.

Matt Myers - not the most gifted player but worked his nuts off every shift and never had a bad game.
Import Jordan Fox - lead from the front and could do it all.

As with a few others & for the same reasons. Simon Hunt. 100% effort & not scared of anybody. I so wish his shirt was retired.
Plenty of good imports over the years and I didn't really know who to chose. Players like Trevor Robins, Jimmy Paek and Big Bad Barry stand out but I think i'll go with Kwall. In an era where imports barely last a season he was here for 5. A glut of trophies in that time including the league title, playing argueably the most important position.

Kevin Bergin. He knew his role, produced good numbers, tough and a great fighter!

Thats a tough one.
EIHL era - Fox (honorable mention to K-wall who ended our abysmal run of goalies).
Overall - Hunt or Adey. Jinman was a blast to watch aswell.
As for tough guys Janssen or Nieckar

My first season ticket was the final year of the ISL, so Briane Thompson and his mighty slapshot hold a special place.
Later on I loved Dan Tessier, one of the few players we've had down the years who had creativity but also a real edge to his play.
Then we had the playoff victory with Rasto Rovnianek, although the sweetest part of that run for me was winning on penalty shots in Sheffield, Sean McAslan skating in, waiting for what seemed like an eternity to shoot and then ripping it high glove to put us into the final four. I know McAslan split opinion but that first season with us I thought he was terrific, a rare natural goalscorer.
But because they were such a huge part of the league winning side, although I didn't see as much of him as I would've liked to because I'd left Nottingham by then, David Ling and Jordan Fox. What we'd give for either of them now.

Sir Sean was, and still is, a big favourite for me, from when I was new to the sport and unencumbered with thoughts of Bermuda. Since then Kowalski is the other stand out.

Goalies: Pietila, Cruikshank, K-Wall
Defense: Paek, Thompson, Stancok, Carlson, Charron, Beckett
Forwards: Drouin, Jinman, Cadotte, Tessier, McAslan, Galbraith, DAB, Fox, Ling, Richardson
Drop a goalie and that’s a pretty decent roster for the EIHL if they were all playing today.

Fox, McAslan, Cook, Ling, Janssen
all very different types of players, but my favourites over the years nevertheless
Fox: did it all, there wasnt anything he couldnt do McAslan: the most natural goalscorer ive seen play in EIHL. his record speaks for itself. Stuck up for team mates when needed Cook: skills for days, and a quality sniper. scored his fair share of individually brilliant goals. Ling: Horrible, chippy and chirpy who could put the puck on a dime. the best player we've had on these shores in recent times. Janssen: Mr Entertainment. never a dull moment with him on the ice, and the best hitter we've had.

Greg Hadden. Loyal goal scoring machine who played with an edge. Boy, we could do with one of these now!

Difficult to pick one for people like me that are over 50(just!) and have followed Panthers for too many years to mention, but here are a selection: NM Trevor Robins D Terry Kurtenbach D Jimmy Paek F Jimmy Keyes F Barry Niecker F Jordan Fox

2 words. Marty. Dallman. A magician. Only Ling has ever come close, for me. That's awfully close to me agreeing with Pidge, isn't it? On D, I have a soft spot for Jim Mathieson, an old school, tough-as-nails D man, but only fought when needed. Like beating the snot out of Mike Ware and not even getting a penalty for it. He's the guy who's beating the living daylights out of one Steeler, gets jumped by Ware, then beats the living daylights out of him, too. Not a single penalty did Mathieson receive for this passage of "play". EIHL era, that's trickier. Probably Ling.

Difficult to name one, been so many and for vastly different reasons.
NM:- Robins & Kowalski
D:- Werner, Beckett, Lepine mk.I
F:- Hadden, Dallman, Ling, DAB
One notable exception and if pushed then he’d be my favourite and that’s Jordan Fox. Had it all really.

One of Blazers best finds when he was on these shores that's for us and Steelers! 90% of the imports tosay couldn't hold a candle to him!

Simply too many to name but
All Time - Paul Adey - He was the first and only name I wanted on my first ever Panthers Jersey and have his autograph framed. Simply legend.
Kwall, Cam, Ling, Fox for a few all for their respected positions and abilities
