There's something very satisfying about accepting we are rubbish. I've no expectation anymore, it's all a bit of a laugh now. If you go in expecting defeat you can revel in how successful we are at it. That's not what sport is about! If you start feeling like that it's time to watch something else mate. Nah, it's fun is this. There's pride to be found in consistent failure & gross mismanagement.

I guess that's the typical Nottingham sports fans attitude eh You have to say though Pidge it’s pretty typical of Nottingham sports clubs. Look at them... Panthers,County,Forest,Notts CC, Nottingham rugby, they aren’t exactly successful in the domestic season and most of them have more than their fair share of bad and poor management decisions.

Not sure you can say the cricket isn't recently successful? T20 champs in 2017 One day cup champs in 2017 County champs 2005/2010 (D2 champs recently too) YB40 champs 2013 Consensus view that TB is one of the best grounds in the world to play at, even Henry Blofeld rates it as his favourite ground in the world. I'm struggling to think of a poor "management decision" that Notts have made?

Not quite sure how with the team they had but they even got relegated a.couple of years ago didn’t they.

Forest have structure now and are being ran like a proper football club since the days of the late Nigel Doughty and have improved on the pitch so you can discount them now.

Interesting interview with Cardiff’s Charles Linglet on EIHL site, worth a read and some of it is a little surprising. Which bit surprised you?

Flying to Scotland surprised me. I bet the Bermuda Boys almost choked on their yacht club martinis when they heard about that one.

However they do fly 4th class. Just another example of doing it properly.
Panthers fans can only dream of such professionalism.

Haha That’s one thing Kelman changed quite quickly - no 3 game in 3 nights tour across Scotland. And this season more single midweek games - fly up and fly back. I think they have a good sponsorship deal with FlyBy? There must be an early flight on Sunday morning from Glasgow to Bristol? 😂

Hi all
Quick question
Have ticket prices or admin fees increased from pre-season?
I’m sure 3 pre-season tickets didn’t count us over £20 each; also don’t remember paying that last year for season games.

That the EIHL was the most physical league he’s played in. Flying to Scotland. Breakfast at the rink. And that he didn’t tell us what a wonderful coach Lordo was. 🤣

Talk about penny pinching to save on travel etc we should be going up the day before or even flying up blimey the airport is only 30 mins away at most. Even Rich mentioned the Scottish matches as being crazy, the scheduling for next season wants looking at big time and also Christmas.. far too many games for all clubs.

Cardiff is another 120 miles further from Glasgow than Nottingham, which is another 2 hrs travel by bus.

Tin pot organisation. This is the reason we are never a challenge to you guys at the top, we do everything by at least half measures.
