What was the point. I don't mean going to the game, I don't mean benching Guptill (assuming he wasnt injured) and playing a dman as a forward, I don't even mean Pither turning a pp into a pk, or of signing an nhl player who contributes nothing. No, more importantly than all that, I mean playing 'it was acceptable in the 80's' at the end of the game. Was there a coded message in the choice of song ??

The usual tired argument coming up again about everything being NB's fault. Well it really isn't. Black had nothing to do with these last two shambolic performances. The fault lies with the coach and the players. Chernomaz seems to have completely lost it. How can a team of proven players like Hurtubise, Pither, Kovacs, Bolduc, Perlini, Rheault and Stewart not be remotely capable of scoring and why for christ's sake would you scratch the only player that not only can but is the top goal scorer in the league? And as for Stewart he might as well just clear off. Not seeing any NHL quality whatsoever and he makes Matt Carter look hardworking If Black wasn't happy the lot would go. Of course he has an element of blame. The reason that we are watching and being fed so much endless crap is because Black is happy for it to happen. If you owned the Panthers what would you do? Sit back and be happy?

Someone needs to be relieved of their command... 100% with you at this point. I've flipped one way and the other the last week or so, but tonight was the final straw. I do not and will not buy anybody saying this is the worst team they have seen(performance wise as a team they have been woeful at times). This is one of the best groups of talent we have seen in the EIHL era. No way can that many good players end up just being this bad. If we find out as fact that Guptill was injured then maybe it's not the final nail. However if it's the coaches decision to make him a healthy scratch then it is indeed the final nail for me. When added to the season as a whole and the last few weeks performances aswell. I don’t see how this talented roster can play like this so often; I honestly don’t think they’re playing for him.

I liked the "Perlini enjoying centering Stewart and Henderson", tonight...
Almost like Rich doesn't watch Panthers TV.

Sit back and be happy? Get real. Black pays the wages and sets the budgets but he won't and shouldn't decide which players are signed or released. That responsibility lies with the head coach. He's the hockey man who puts the team together and he also can't just get rid of them all as you say either otherwise we wouldn't be able to put a team on the ice

I'm highly likely to be wrong here but I wouldn't be suprised to see Mr Black pull the trigger before the end of the season. We arn't talking about a guy like Corey with so many years service and goodwill. This season up to now is pretty aweful and as bad as anything Corey produced. If he isn't thinking it already i'd be shocked if he isn't should results continue in the same vein through to next weekend.

I've never known black to sack anyone . Coaches have either walked up simply not had their contracts renewed

As a professional sports team owner he is a clueless loser and of course he can do anything he wanted and make any changes that he wants to change that. All he has to go is click his fingers and get out the cheque book. It happens in every sport everywhere so it should be easy in a two bit beer league.

The problem with Black is he is not a fan as such, he is a business man who has a sports club in his portfolio of companies and this business does exceptionally well, making him a good return on his investment. Even more so with the massive building society money.
The biggest issue is because he's not a fan and therefore not having to sit through this dross, week in week out, he isn't going to pressure Gary and Rick to make the changes. Why, because the crowds are coming through the door and because he cant see first hand how awful Rick has this team playing.
However, he needs to be very careful as people are not just getting fed up, they are actually switching off, no longer motivated to watch the team. Whilst the club does very well from lots of drop ins, who start their night in the Arena, his bread and butter is season ticket holders and many are reaching the point of no return.
Rick's team look switched off, demotivated under his coaching and it is laid bare on the ice. If he has lost the dressing room and the respect of the players then he needs to go. If this was Sheffield he would have been out after Christmas.

Black won't sack Cherno, he might have to pay up his contract. That isn't happening. He probably doesn't even know we lost yet. Or played.
Absolutely useless tonight, lots of possession but never looked dangerous with it. Manchester looked more of a threat when they were able to get a bit of zone time.
We don't seem to have any sort of plan, what they do with Chernoclue all week is anyone's guess. Practice for the quiz maybe.

They have played better at the start of the season but the problem is that most of the other teams have got a lot better as the season has gone on. We haven’t.
