Yet you gave Neilson chance after chance over 10 years, the hockey was abysmal he never learnt his lessons. To be fair to Corey I thought the hockey was pretty exciting in the early days when we would score loads of goals...and concede loads as well. It was only the last 4 seasons it was dull and we reverted to dump and no chase

A very tight small rink with lots of forechecking and scrappy. They scrapped well. We of course had the usual too many men - Kovacs sent out. The place is limited, but it was filthy - litter left from awhile ago, spillages creating slippery surfaces. They could at least clean the place up. We came one strong 3rd period and looked to have pinched it - then a scrappy goal for them. We should have been able to make it tell in overtime, but on the break a penalty shot and that was it. Not an easy place to play, but feel we should have won. The club unfortunately have very little say over the rink, and Planet Ice are not doing a great job of looking after it at the moment. I mean the place is never going to be a palace but it would be nice if PI would do some basic maintenance in the fan areas once in a while.

Its in their interest to at least make sure the place is cleaned up- that must be possible -- its not going to encourage people to go there as it is.

Not in a million years. He’s either a very slow learner (we have played every team several times already) or like I believe he has no clue at all. Calling a coach who's won the DEL clueless 😂😂 I was being kind. Over the last 14 games he has proved himself useless.

It's generally not a very good product anymore in this league. That's the way it's going . It's not a coaching thing as such If a new coach came in it would still be much the same. Players hardly finish their checks. Quick skillfull hockey is good to watch in superior leagues as it works. In a generally slow league. Not contact hockey is awful to watch. Made worse by over zelous officiating!

Aren’t you a bit old to be watching Wacky Races tonight ! 🤣 You're never too old to watch Wacky Races... ... although, at the moment, it's looking more like Wile E. Coyote out there.

Other teams in our league, both above and below us in the table, manage to play better stuff than us. It's a cop out to just say hockey's crap now. You might as well totally give up.

It's not a cop out it's the truth. Hockey is the same across the league it's sanatised and very boring. It isn't changing anytime soon so stick with it or like you say give up watching it in this country. Don't expect things to change next season or the season after and come on here moaning that's it's boring hockey again because I warned you. I just except it for what it is. I'm just glad I've been around and remember when the game in this country was very very good to watch and better than it is in the nhl even though it's still pretty decent to watch

Because I still enjoy the game (just) and try not to let the politics of Panthers etc get in the way. I don't have a ST btw and haven't for a few years due to shift work so pick my games, mainly Saturdays and let's be honest it's not me on this forum who has constant issues with all things Panthers on here . It bores me these days because the same things get brought up after every defeat, and it's probably amusing to every other fanbase in the league as well. Things won t drastically change until the front office structure changes.. and that won t happen for a few years anyway.

"Front office structure changes"... which front office - Panthers or the league? Panthers but if we're splitting hairs.. both because the latter has no structure whatsoever . No arguments re the latter... the EIHL have consistently proven that they couldn't find their collective backside with both hands and satnav! But that's not changed since the league was formed, and as I recall the ISL & BNL were no better, plus from everything I've been told the preceding British Hockey League was also an accident that didn't wait for a place to happen. So it would seem to be a British ice hockey thing through and through... even back to the 'good old days' on which you seem to look back so fondly. However, if you are saying that the Panthers' front office are at fault... you're making no sense. You are complaining that the hockey is boring (debatable - individual opinion), non-contact (ridiculous), etc... across the league. Funny, I didn't know that Gary Moran and Neil Black had that much influence right across the league. And as Yotes correctly pointed out earlier - other teams seem to be able to play better hockey than us at the moment.

Serious question, doesn’t Chernomaz deserve another season now he has seen first hand, what the league is about? No because I don’t see how another year in this league will allow him to get the best out of his squad, because that comes down to coaching experience and not league experience.

He ll recruit a different type of squad but I don't think he ll be back. I can see him going back into Europe. Then Black can go back to employing rookie coaches 😁

Then Black can go back to employing rookie coaches 😁 Yeah next year he’ll probably recruit a small fast squad then expect them to play a hitting game ! 🙄 Doh You can still play a hitting game in this league as long as the hits are legal, problem is this year our lot aren’t fast enough to catch opposition players and play that game on big ice. Which is what was said pre season when some people were raving just because we had a big team and how exciting it was going to be. 🤔

P.s. he ll sign a small team fast team next year .. we ll get creamed on the boards then fans will moan than we are getting bullied.. mark my words

I doubt anyone knows, but how many penalties have we taken for hitting? I can't remember too many boarding calls, or late hit calls, and the biggest we've seen all year (Rissling) wasn't called, despite the recipient being injured. Blaming the refs because the team can't maintain the effort required to play that way seems like an easy out for coach and team.
