Why Biggs did he fight on his own? I doubt it. I thought that either starting or taking part in a fight in the last 5 mins carried an extra tariff. Maybe I'm wrong. There used to be a ruling if it was last 2 mins of the game in pretty sure

They both got game misconducts, can't see it'd need any more than that. Looking at the vid it was much of a muchness (as usual these days).

A good win, refs tried their best to get MK that powerplay goal but they failed. 7 points out of 8, we move on to Wednesday.

Needed 2 points, got 2 points. 7 out of 8 points, if we can get to 9 out of 10 by Wednesday, then that would suggest we’ve hit form. The teams we’ve got between now and Christmas are outside of our “conference” so we’ve got to start racking up the wins

Good win, frankly. 2 points, and 7 for 8. Anyone else just a little concerned that Hurtubise is pointless in his last 5 games?

It always seemed that we would win 1 then lose 1. Certainly happy about it, just need The Giants to lose a couple now

A lot against the Scotts and Cov. There’s no reason we can’t use that to our advantage now

It is a worry, I think his lack of form is a big reason our PP hasn’t produced as well as it did to begin with. Once one of his rockets finds the back of the net he’ll get going again.

Add Kovaks, last night he was completely ineffective. At least when Pither and Hurtubise aren’t scoring they are contributing in other areas. As and when we get back to full strength he’ll be fighting for a spot on the bench.
As for last night, good gritty performance and a great atmosphere.

It's very rare you have a team that has all its players "in from" at once. The ebb and flow of form is what makes it interesting. Kovacs has only got one goal since 17 September, but has 11 assists in that time.

Have to say the atmosphere was brilliant in MK, yes the drum gets on your nerves glad we weren’t sitting front of them but they never stopped chanting and cheering for their team, if our place was as good as that it would be awesome.. it was the biggest attendance this season apparently just over 2000. A gritty game that Bolduc should have sealed much earlier.

Winning when you’re not playing well is a good thing. If we can keep winning, the confidence and performances will come with it. Losing and being poor is more of a concern. And you only need to play slightly better than everyone to win trophies. Doesn’t matter if you win by 10 goals or 1 in the league

Sheffield probably think they’re doing well lately but they’ve had an easy ride the last month, they must have a shedload of hard games coming up soon. Same with Panthers,I’m not surprised we’ve taken 7 points out of the last 8 and we will get plenty more in the next few weeks, then reality will set in again.

On the whole we’ve done well against Belfast and Cardiff so far, taking 8 points from 16. We’ve got 4 games (2H, 2A) left against them, if we manage to get more points from those games than they do then that’s good work.
It’s the mid table teams where we’ve come unstuck, MK away, Glasgow twice, Fife away. Yesterday was a positive result, MK are a good team as they’ve shown today, you can’t take any team lightly and to come out of there with a victory on Saturday was a good result. Another positive so far is we’ve been to Guildford twice already and we’ve got two wins, that’s a tough place to play and after next weekend we won’t have to go back there.
It’s also worth remembering that Cardiff and Belfast have to play each other 5 more times, plus they’ve both got a lot of games left against a Sheffield team with some renewed confidence. I know Sheffield don’t have the quality but they will scrape some points off them.
We’ve got a good set of fixtures now, a lot of home games and all against teams who will be battling for mid table, now is the time to kick on and get some confidence back with a run of wins.
