I'm just waiting for everybody to notice this......
We should've offered him more money, why were we not looking to sign him, etc, etc.

interesting signing. I don't think its what they need. I'm not too bothered about him being against us. I'm assuming this means farina is out long term? doesn't seem to fit a replacement to Blood.

Not really a Blood replacement.
Nothing to worry about here.

Think they've been after him for a while according to reports on here. Be interesting to see how he does, I didn't want him back personally, although I think Rich did as I recall?

Nothing to worry about till he scores against us... Cardiff been after him for a long time , he told us in Prague That they had offered him half as much again that what Panthers were paying him but he gave his word to Corey he could have first refusal. That’s twice he’s gone to Europe and not lasted, either he doesn’t like it or he’s not getting a game . A shame for us because Rich desparetly wanted to keep him. Not sure it’s the D replacement for a Blood but a versatile two way player although he hated playing on D here.

For the money he would have cost there’s far better out there. Lord seems to think he’s highly skilled.... Andrew he certainly isn’t,he’s just fast.

Good first time , bang average 2nd time round!! If he's played on d that's weakened their d !

The first time we had him, we had a pretty decent team. The second time, we didn't. So lets see how he does with a very good team.
I don't think he'll be as bad as people are suggesting, I don't think he'll light it up or anything like that but I think he'll do well. Devils didn't particularly need a direct same size replacement for Blood, their D isn't massive but they've got the toughness of Louis and Batch back there, and so Mosey can go with Fournier. Both are great skaters and have good speed, they'll be difficult to play against.
If Devils wanted a direct replacement for Blood they'd have been waiting for ages, like they have for Parisi. Mosey can be here tomorrow and in the lineup for the weekend. It's a good signing in my eyes and I think he'll do well.

To be honest I think he could have added something to this team had we got him. A bit of speed instead of Doty for example may have helped. However it isn't something to be too worried about. There are much better players out there and probably of a better fit for us right now. No need to be too down on the bloke, but he was never the messiah some made him out to be either.

Personally, my lasting memory of Mosey will be the lack of desire he showed in the Play-off semi final last season against our biggest rivals, the biggest game of the season. The ease in which he allowed Armstrong to go on the outside round him and then cut in towards the the net before scoring the winner. In his first spell he gave us some great memories, the second spell was a disappointment and that capped it.
Going forward his speed is a good strength and he does have some finishing but if he’s with them to be a defenceman then we have reason to be positive. He’s a downgrade on Blood so that instantly makes Cardiff weaker, also a lot of Cardiff fans have been calling out for an additional defenceman who is solid at the back, a stay at home defenceman to replace Strachan, Mosey is not that player. As a forward he will provide something, at the back he is weaker.
After Rich spoke to him during the summer and discussed bringing him back it’s a shame he’s decided to go to Cardiff, especially after the fans welcomed him back following his time in the US. It’s safe to say there’s no loyalty shown from him.

he was the sort of player where you would be happy if he stayed but wouldn't be too bothered if he didn't. good player in his first couple of years here. after he came back from America he was half the player he was before.

That seems more feasible to me.

Probably because in his couple of years away the all round standard of the EIHL has improved and speed alone wouldn’t cut it any more.

Good bit of salt on here this evening...
From the Devils point of view, I hope he’s not the replacement for Blood, he’s a replacement for Parisi, who was meant to be our attacking D Man.
Trust the owners, Todd and Lordo though.

Trust the owners, Todd and Lordo though. I’d be disappointed. Thought he was good as a forward but never thought he made a good defence man. Whether he’s replacing Parisi or Blood it’s a downgrade if he’s going to be on D. The only way this makes sense to me is if he’s replacing Faryna as a forward

Knowing what Cardiff offered Mosey before he re-joined us (It was insane), this must at least put Cardiff in to 3rd place on the wages table.
Chortle type smiley.

The only way this makes sense to me is if he’s replacing Faryna as a forward I was a fan when he was in Nottingham, but I do get your point. Moore has looked good on D, which is where he was playing in Scotland, so perhaps that’s the idea. If that is the case I do think it leaves us short of stay at home quality on D. Makes everything more interesting anyway.

Good first year and a big meh in his second. Speedboat with no driver much of the time.
Other than that cup final goal I don't think I'll remember him too much in 10-15 years time.
If Lepine was to put him on his backside I'd cheer no more and no less than any other player in the league.

Nostalgia played a big part in the love on his return but was it a success? I’m not so sure.
I wish him absolutely zero success at his new club. Let’s not forget, this club took him from the Dutch league, turned him into an AHL player and then gave him a 2 year deal twice. Of which he pulled out of. Twice.
He’s not bigger than this club. Feels like he’s worked around his ITC card issue to go to Cardiff.

That seems more feasible to me. If he doesn’t like playing D as he has said whilst playing for you then I guess he’s the cover for Faryna? However, he is a different type of player to Faryna as well? Faryna is quick but I hazard a guess not as quick as Mosey? I was hoping Mosey is a better playmaker but reading a few posts on here that might not be the case? He definitely doesn’t bring the physicality like Faryna nor possibly the x-factor for the guys when their playing flat (like the last 3 games) in getting them fired up? Lord I think does like utility players to cover for injuries. So we lose out on physicality it front and gain speed? The replacement for Blood will be the replacement meant for Parisi now I guess? Soo if they’ve been tracking 3 or 4 players this will now be down to 1 or 2? Possibly signed already and just waiting for the paper work? All supposition........

Err, think you’re forgetting the wage for Blood and the HUGE compensation package. Mind you, we might now be looking to build a new arena in the BAY - reclaim the land form the sea? Still 4th.
