We do not have any leaders. We do not have a player(s) who we can look to when in need of a lift. We do not have any self belief to come back from adversity. We do have major problems with varying degrees of blame levied on the players, the entire coaching staff and the Club Management/Owners. Panthers fans are probably the most loyal in UK but are simply taken for granted as a constant source of income.

Just heard the interview and it sounded like Rick was going through the motions, out of ideas maybe? Same old stuff getting rolled out, we made mistakes..... so glad I skipped the game today, wont be back in a hurry... Can't see this shower finishing above 7th place...

When Ollie got levelled in the neutral zone against the boards (clean hit) and Lepine started heading over I thought 'maybe this is when he goes back to the original Lepine'. Then he saw Ollie and the Giants player were a little tangled up on the ice and then proceeded to skate away. I mean, I don't want him to straight up goon it up but either drag the guy to his feet or when he gets up on his own accord, no choice him.
I got bored of seeing Doty constantly offering guys to fight too, I'm glad he does it but again, if they aren't going to play ball then we need something to force it.
The physicality is fading badly and quickly, only really Doty, Betteridge and VanKleef who willingly hit hard.
Guptill can go. Lepine needs a rocket up his rear. Pither needs support. Kovacs needs support. Farmer needs to be a nuisance again. Biggs needs to play more of the power forward role.

A bit of advice for the club, the next time you do a teddy toss if the team doesn’t score in the first period get everybody to throw them once the first period has ended. Moran you’re an absolute fool, you’ve embarrassed the fans, you let the Belfast players ridicule us and you’ve basically admitted defeat with 10 minutes to go. What an absolutely idiotic decision!
We’ve got passengers in this team who, when the going gets tough, go into their shell and don’t want to know. Perlini and Lacho are the main culprits for this and at the end of the season I’d look to move both of them on, if they were imports neither of them would be here.
What is the point in having Doty if nobody is willing to fight him and he hasn’t got the ability to make people fight him? He’s getting frustrated because they won’t and he’s then giving stupid penalties away. If you add in the fact that technically he doesn’t offer much then is there any point having him?
Lepine is in a similar position I feel, his main asset in his previous time with us was his physicality, he was a presence, now he doesn’t even get into any skirmishes. He’s in the same boat as Doty, if he’s not going to apply his physicality then we need to upgrade. And he’s certainly not leading this team.
Finally, the powerplay, does Rich know that we’re supposed to try and score on it? I appreciate that you’ve got to work space and move the opposition to get the best opportunities but we are just overplaying it and choosing to pass when we should be shooting. Hurtubise scored 3 near identical goals on the PP at the start of the season, he was receiving the puck from the point on the left side and 1 timing it, now he looks as though he’s afraid to shoot, he’ll pass when he has the chance. The old saying, if you put the puck on net good things happen, could not be truer.
I’m getting sick to death of coming on here and venting my frustration about this team and club. When will it end?

I was actually disappointed not to get a ticket for tonight, mainly to take my nephew for the teddy bear toss but after seeing the result I am so so glad I saved nearly £60! This is the first season in over 10 years I hadn’t got a season ticket and I couldn’t be happier.
This team will not be getting my money this season unless changes start to be made, to show they admit something is wrong and are trying to change it.

Four shots in the final period tell you everything you need to know about this team. No fight whatsoever. Add in the shameful lack of a minute’s silence and embarrassing request to “throw your teddies on the ice at the next whistle” and it’s another wasted Saturday evening. This club, given it’s advantages over most should be a shining beacon for British ice hockey. Instead, every season it plumbs the depths of mediocrity.

I agree with those saying “four shots in the last period is disgusting “ but would also like to point out we only had eight shots in the second when we should of been at least trying to make a comeback.
I dont mind watching the team lose, indeed if we won every match convincingly it would be as boring to watch as this current dross. But what i do want is to watch my team give it all. If they still come up short then fudge it we’ll get them next time and i will cheer them off the field.

When will it end? Unfortunately only when you see the club for what it is. It’s a strange feeling but has happened to many people over the last 5 years. The passion and interest slowly fades away until the point when you just don’t care anymore.

So I took my family after not going for years and years. I told them about the excitement and passion I remember from being a season ticket holder old stadium and new for approx 15 years and what we saw was rubbish. No passion- limited effort - farce of a teddy bear throw - may as well have thrown white flags on the ice

The frustrating thing was for the first half of the match i thought things were pretty even, maybe Panthers the slightly better team. Two good teams trying to get though two brilliant sets of defences and two red hot goalies. Then the first goal went in and i don't think I've ever seen a team implode so quickly as we did last night. We just absolutely fell to pieces.

To all...owner, GM, coaching and playing staff. I truly hope you were suitably embarrassed by having to stand there next to the Belfast PROFESSIONAL hockey team during the white flag waving teddy bear toss. Hang your head in shame. As for the non minute silence, the business (not a club anymore) has hit new levels, and I don’t mean highs either. I’m done with them, ticket money is now going on NHL TV

Sums up my feelings too. It is a business and not a club, we are customers and not fans. I’ve been a fan since we started up again in the 80’s and a season ticket holder for about the last 11-12 seasons including this one. But I’m done now. Last night was the final straw. I couldn’t even be bothered to be angry at the end. I can no longer look anyone in the eye who’s never been and encourage them to come and see a game. I was perhaps naively hoping that a new coach/new era would change things but I was sadly mistaken. Nice one NB/GM and the Bermuda Triangle. Profits before points. Great stuff. #cash cows

I dont want to use the word boycott but there are a few dates coming up not on the ST. They wont be getting my money. Same as many. Regular for nearly 20 years(occasional fan whilst parents were ST holders in old rink going back to late 80s) ST holder for 15 years. I'm letting a friend use my ST next week. I'll let them have it free though, it'd be a crime to charge him to watch that. I just cant be bothered.
As somebody already said. What stands out to me is what was said at the start of the season "at least if we dont win anything at least we'll be entertaining". Not even close.

It will make no difference to the Panthers. The arena will still be full of drones. Many of them were up and down the steps last night while the game was in play, taking drink orders from their dopey mates and then having an amicable chat with the stewards who did nothing to quell the tide. What a lousy club we’ve become.

Panthers aren’t a “club” at all. If you want to see a club look at Leicester City. Panthers are about as far removed from Leicester City as it is possible to be !

Far better for the opposition to refuse which makes both players offer little to worry the opposition IMO.

I agree with you that nobody wants to fight them, so they need to be more intelligent and goad players into having to fight them, play the body on the smaller, skilful players, intimidate, play close to the edge, drive the net that millisecond longer. Players will have to fight them then. The EIHL doesn’t have the viewers or the level of play for it to become a league where fighting is a rarity. Tony Smith’s decision not to sign somebody who will drop the gloves has effectively killed our rivalry and if every team does it the league will stop growing imo.

Instead of skating round at the end to 'the dagger', Madesses 'Embarrassment' would have more appropriate. When they announced that the teddy toss would be at the next whistle, comments around me said that the next whistle could be likely to be another giants goal.
No passion, no commitment, no fight, no nothing came from last night. We have loads of big bodies but why are they afraid to use 'em? You have the 'stars' on the first and second lines who only look like scoring on a meet the bunnies night, yet swan around doing nothing during a game. The best players on the ice last night imo was VanCleef and Betteridge, battled, hit, took hits and put effort in all game. I agree that Doty is not effective because no one will fight him, in that case force the issue, he should have took out that annoying sod Rutherford to get a reaction. Same for lepine, brings little or nothing to the team; his one hit ended with a dumb penalty. Did Cherno recruit him because he was going to be an asset to the team or was it a GM signing to bring back the messiah? TBH I'd go for the latter.
The team is carrying deadwood and coasters and till we get rid I don't see things improving.
