This must have been covered before, but I couldn't see it so here goes - Have you ever witnessed a more uninspiring intro before the team comes on. The music is ok, Paws (not) playing the drums is just about ok, the video is ok, but then...it stops. no attempt to get the crowd involved, no dramatic effect. Nothing. It's like they can't find anything good to copy so they've given up. AND I'M NOT PROUD TO BE FROM NOTTINGHAM, BECAUSE I'M NOT FROM NOTTINGHAM !! They might as well turn the lights off, say 'please welcome on to the ice etc etc, and bring the team on.

Have always said that 5 minutes pre start of any kind. Get a heartbeat going that raises in sound the nearer the start. Would remind those in the corridors to take there seat. It was good pre music concerts I attended years ago.

It's terrible this year. As you say, uninspiring.
I'd assumed it was a placeholder until they did the proper one (lack of footage etc), but doesn't appear to be.

I take on board your point about not being from Nottingham as there are a number of fans from all over the East Midlands who as you say are not from Nottingham... I have thought this myself and will update to “Are you proud to be here supporting the Nottingham Panthers” Otherwise I disagree... the intro has some theatre with the drum beat and paws and the music is inspiring. Finding an intro sequence that works for everyone is very challenging. We are limited in what we can do until the new screen arrives next year (fingers crossed). I hope this will provide a lot more scope... I always ask for fan interaction and generally feel the engagement with cheering and participating has been good so far this year. As always you can reach me direct on Twitter @kenpanthers and I am always happy to engage as many will know who regularly get in touch with suggestions etc... Let me know your name so I can look out for you as Ashfieldpanther is a little anonymous... All the best Ken (DJ/MC)

All the best Ken (DJ/MC) I’ve like the idea with the music and paws on the drums it’s something a little different and adds to the entertainment although he needs to work on his timing when the music starts 😂. It’s just missing a little something for me like an intro video or maybe a bit of a light show during paws’ routine. On a side note I was a little disappointed that we copied the same music and chant for Mike Garnett that we used for Miika Wiikman

That one goes back to Curtis Cruickshank - possibly longer. The amusing thing for me is that it doesn't seem to matter what the goalie's name is, "Pigbag" always fits it!

I think at the point where Paws stops playing the drums some high tempo music should kick in, it’s got to be something that the fans can clap along too (a good example is something like Glasgow play during their entrance). It has to start straight away though, the pause/silence kills the atmosphere.

The trouble is, most of the effect of even a great build-up is lost due to ceremonial puck-drop, any announcements, the anthem, etc. Any adrenaline rush has had time to subside by the time the game gets going. Please note that I'm not advocating dropping any or all of those events... simply pointing out a fact. Just one of those things?

I quite like the drumming bit of the intro, don't know if it's possible Ken, but it would look better if Paws had a big Timpani drum. We're going in the right direction, it just needs a bit of knitting together. Keep it going pal

Thank you Talking about respect brings up the 'we hate Steelers' addition to the anthem. Does any other country think its ok to do this, I can't imagine Cardiff or the Scottish fans doing the same when they sing the anthem 'a capella' when they visit us.

New screen is pivotal to this, I think you do a good job with what you have available Ken if it’s any consolation. And Woodkid being used this year is certainly better than that of Fallout Boy the year previous.

Thank you Stef announces the National Anthem and people have the free choice to do what they want... same reason we don’t ask people to stand. Some may choose not to stand or are unable. We merely inform that the anthem is coming (time now for the national anthem). I personally would remove a hat if I was wearing one of course but others may not. Understand the sentiment but people are free to do as they wish. Not a fan of the we hate steelers chant during the national anthem though.

For me I’ve never understood the relevance of playing the national anthem at all. I believe that the national anthem should be played when the country is being represented i.e GB games but not for club competition as the country is not being represented

Massively so compared to a few seasons back. You do still hear the odd clown every now and then.

I believe that the national anthem should be played when the country is being represented i.e GB games but not for club competition as the country is not being represented It's something that seems to have been imported from across the Atlantic. Personally I'd rather do without it, but my perception is slightly coloured because I think GSTQ is an awful anthem and I'm not sure why asking a non-existent deity to save a phenomenally wealthy OAP is meant to be proud or inspiring.
