I mean, that’s a heck of a line up! I don't see a lack of goals there personally as has been many peoples concern. Top two lines look plenty capable with Guptill being a goal scorer with Hurtubise and Rheault providing plenty of playmaking ability and scoring too. Second line has the creativity of Kovacs with Pither and Perlini being able to provide plenty of goals. Then you've got the heavy hitting line of Farmer, Henderson and Biggs all of whom should bring a good level of secondary scoring. Then the shut down line of Lacho, Ollie and Doty who should also chip in with a few and probably more than most other teams 4th line Whether we can stack up to Cardiff still remains to be seen. I reckon Cardiff still have more firepower but i think we might be stronger at the back end A lot will depend on Pither and Hurtubise. If they both have good seasons them we should be able to win on any given night. We also look stacked at the back, hopefully Garnett shiws us why he played so much in the KHL. If im being picky id possibly swap maybe Henderson for a guy like Mok just for some raw creativity down the lines. But then Henderson may surprise us, i imagine he was a role player for of his AHL career. If nothing else we should be fun to watch. Im just really hoping Rich get them playing tape to tape hockey, looking for diagonal passes through the zone and finding guys in the slot. None of this dump no chase, and when we do get it cycle it round the boards without looking for a pass garbage we saw Neilson do the last couple of seasons. God i hate watching that.

No stranger to the league, a few seasons before the Clan joined, he put up big numbers, impressive numbers.
Be interesting to see how he gets on now that he's 10 years older.

Did not see that one coming - very interesting! Potential negatives... quite a few years older than when he was league top scorer, doesn't seem to stay in one place for very long, and stats from previous seasons being not the most reliable judgement. Right - now we've got that out of the way... Seriously - this is potentially a VERY impressive signing. He scores, he makes plays, he makes things happen. Sounds good to me. Overall, this is potentially a very capable roster. Exactly how it's going to turn out is anyone's guess... but I very much doubt it's going to be boring, and I don't think it's going to be as poor on the scoring front as some seem to think. Defensively we are (again, potentially) looking pretty solid... if we can combine that with shut-down domination in centre ice and a decent amount of offence... we should be fine. A lot will depend upon the coaching... but Rich Chernomaz has been around the block a few times, he's no mug. So we should be OK there as well. Interesting times... and hopefully not in the Chinese sense.

At the moment i'd say us and Cardiff are will be the ones battling for the league. Can't say I'm overly blown away by Steelers roster so far and although Belfast still have many more faces to come what they have at the moment doesn't scream championship material and they seem to be struggling for a good few seasons now

Good stuff! For me this signing ticks a lot of boxes and fills a few gaps in the roster.
I wonder if he might split the creativity of Hurtubise, Pither and Kovacs across the 1st 3 lines. Or as others have suggested loads the top 2 lines and go with a heavy 3rd line. Will be interesting to see and like many I’m hoping for settled lines.
The key to our season could be Garnett. He was unbelievable in the CHL. My last game of last season was his shutout after the Q&A. If he can get anywhere near that level with a solid looking D in front of him we could be in business. Especially if Rich keeps them motivated and playing hard week in week out.

Get him in Saltbox on the ale and he’ll soon bulk up. I believe Chris Lawrence patented that particular weight gain program. Must say I'm quite pleased with this signing. He has still been slotting away the goals in some pretty decent leagues and with the potential play-makers in this season's team he could be in for some good service. Might be a bit awkward though when someone has to explain why we won't be visiting Edinburgh this season...

Have we used any Uni deals this year? I've seen Lepine is one of them, and Garnett is on his 2nd year obviously but is that it? Or are Panthers just keeping it quiet?
Top signing this though.

Panthers are keeping very quiet about Uni’s at the moment following Corey’s Mickey Mouse award by Trent Uni. Wouldn’t want to upset Loughborough ya know by bigging up something from Trent ! 🤫
