Apart from it being black. How many black lions or pumas have you seen? He shouldn't have seen any black Pumas or Lions because they don't exist. It could be a black cat though ! ๐ค๐

Black (or melanistic) Pumas are one of the many types of melanistic big cats* that get grouped together and called 'Panthers'. (*The others usually being melanistic jaguars and leopards)

(*The others usually being melanistic jaguars and leopards) I'll guve way if you have some greater knowledge then me, but my understanding is that there's never been a verified instance of a Black cougar/puma and most sighting are actually misidentified black jaguars or just not a big cat.

It was all Panthers on the shirt till 2000-01, 02 and 03 seasons when it was not written on the shirt.Then 05,06 seasons.....so it would not be the first , second or even 5th season without the word panthers.
Just saying.
