Zagreb in dire financial straits apparently. I've seen a tweet saying all of their players are basically free to look for other clubs That’s Yann Sauve’, John Armstrong, Sébastien Sylvestre and Kyle Hardy’s team. 😳

I liked Sauve but not sure he'd fit in on this team, or who he'd replace. Sylvestre was very good, would like him here.

Sylvestre takes lots of penalty minutes but mainly for abuse of official.
Should put up good numbers if he came back to the league.

Good signing if true, would make your offence that much more potent.

Pretty substantial rumours from people that Slyvestre has already signed for us. From people who don’t tend to be wrong.
If he has signed, that’s massive intent from Rich.

You seem very certain.. so tell us have we signed someone else or are we looking to sign someone?

Heard bad reports about him from long time Belfast fans, not good in the dressing room and refused to help Keefe out when short benched, they were glad to see the back of him ....and are doing soo much better this season without him.

Looking purely at stats I’d say the most like for like replacement for Biggs is Jordan Samuels-Thomas from there...

As a leftie I wouldn’t swap him for Olsen or Rissling, there’s no chance that Lepine sits out as he’s captain so it looks unlikely that we’d pick him up. If Rich continues to play Tim as a forward though we could sign him and play someone else on their opposite side, our defence would be stacked then. Sylvestre would be nice if not though!😂

Makes you laugh when these players take off to Europe chasing money only to fall on their backside. Have many EIHL players actually gone on to make a real go of it in Europe’s supposed better leagues ? I’m struggling to think of many if any.

The EBEL isn't a bad league, just Zagreb have had their main sponsor pull out so now they have no money. If the sponsor stayed they'd likely see the season out. I don't find it that funny really, it's quite sad if anything that such a big team in a reputable league is on the brink of ceasing to exist. Plus don't forget that everyone on their books is playing to make a living, it sounds like they haven't been paid for a while and likely won't get paid again so they've essentially been made redundant at Christmas.

I don’t mean it’s funny that Zagreb have gone bust, just that these players think they’re better than they are or the grass is greener then realise they’re not and the EIHL ain’t as bad as it’s sometimes painted.

They come to the eihl for the easy lifestyle and get paid a comfortable wage. If you are a dedicated sportsman the eihl won't be on your radar that is a fact.
