This is a meltdown of epic proportions... the lack of goals is absolutely staggering and although nothing will happen, serious changes are needed... league litterly slipping through our fingers... what a damn shame. Panthers’ 18 wheeler is certainly out of control at the minute & it’s blatantly obvious it’s not a “blip.”

We created more than enough chances to win it tonight. Unfortunately for the Storm keeper he'll need a new jersey as we have worn his logo out. Couldn't hit a barn door and all that...
We shouldn't be losing these games. I've held off as long as I can giving this team some credit following their success early on in the season but that goodwill has now ran out. Changes are needed right now but given the time of year it won't happen(unless it's already in the pipeline) and by the time it does the league will be gone.
Thankfully if there's any team(other than Caps) I think we can beat at the moment it's Sheffield so I cling on to that hope.
Also, Darnell had a shocker tonight with the missed High Stick on Bussieres. He's far from the reason we lost though.

Is that 6 losses in a row now? I don't remember a run anywhere near that bad in 18 years or so of watching Panthers. "Laser focus"...

“Superb game of passion and drive ends in penalty shoot-out defeat but not for want of trying” - bull****
6 defeats in a row, 1 win in the last 10 games! What the hell has happened to this team? Something needs to change and quick, I honestly don’t know what to say any more. Heroes to zeros in the space of a month.

Depressing, utterly depressing. No lack of effort but we just don't seem to have that finishing touch. Not helped by the reffing IMO but that's no excuse. Corey is really annoying me too, no passion or ideas. We got bulled in our own barn and what does he do?

Woeful, again.
Time for either Neilson to either earn his money or ship out. He’s transformed a very good team into a roster who don’t seem to know each other!
Storm I thought were good, well drilled, played some neat passes between settled lines. Defensively sound and impressive on the forecheck. The only difference being a few clinical shots between them and Belfast.
Shoot out choices? Phillips and Bussieres rather than Mokshantsev, Farmer or Perlini, really? Buss has been misfiring for weeks and Phillips has only shown rare glimpses of scoring ability. Each shooter had a pep-talk from Neilson beforehand and yet none pulled any kind of move or tried to move Clemente, instead just easy shots.
Garnett kept us in it and Brown showed why he should be Captain. Swindlehurst had a solid, no nonsense, assured game... oh how I wish we’d kept him over Lee!

I could have gone, but worked two hours of OT; which I’ve just wasted by buying tickets for me & the boy for the MK second leg.

I thought we actually played well tonight,we tried hard and made a lot of chances....we are just dreadful when it matters.
Storm are a good team but I thought we were the better team based on possession and chances but it just isn't happening. Confidence seems shot and unless we start scoring I cannot see where the next win is coming from at the moment.

I think it was because Darnell looked as though he’d given it then almost immediately washed it out. Looked like the linesman made the right call, not Darnell. He was truly awful in the third and OT. Cannot stand him as a ref. As for us, good effort but no cutting edge. We’ve gone right off the boil. Oh well, at least all the players know the coaches “systems” know. Hey they don’t work but what the hell. Coach needs to earn his money know, this is way more than a blip, sort it out Corey before another league challenge is over by New Years Day. Huge festive fixture list coming up.

Can't believe I missed out on paying £50 odd for that one. You’re so desperate to attend yet throw sly digs when the result/performance is bad. Good luck in getting your ban overturned, I can see the club folding very soon when this is the attitude your demonstrate.

Absolutely gutted tonight.
We were by far and away the better team that created the better chances.
No idea how we didn't win that.
Of course, the usual suspects no doubt know exactly what went wrong and how to fix it.

The boy was desperate to support the guys. Might as well look for the silver lining though as I'm still banned. I did notice your like to the extremely embarrassing tweet from Josh as well. I have to say David I think you are an unpleasant, even spliteful individual and I hope that your true self is happier and fuller than your online persona indicates.

For me we played well, created oppurtunities, and defended okay. Nothing stand out inside the blue lines, between them was a different story as some true skill was shown in puck handling.
Massive negative for me is the stupid penalties we give away. When your on the floor with an opponent under you and the ref is telling you to get up, get up. Dont put your glove in there face and push them back to the ice. When you check a player dont jump just beforehand and essentially check horizontal to the player you’re checking. The other Sauve one was a stupid one but cant remember it.

I thought first period we were awesome, really good positive play a lot of energy then we slowed down in the second. The team needs a boost and hopefully the two sellout games Boxing Day and the 27th will give them that lift! Then it’s the tricky matter of the Blaze across the new year which will be no easy task. Win get a good points return and we’re back in the hunt as we’ve got a few games left against Cardiff and Belfast to make up the difference! If we hit firm this season could go down to the wire!!! Here’s hoping we find that scoring touch in the next 4 games! Merry Christmas everyone

yet again though our import forwards cant score.. something pointed out over a month ago when it didnt matter so much as the team was winning... it really is time now to sack players and bring in ones who can do the job they are employed to do...

Lets be honest, we were not awesome in any period, we hav'nt been that in the last month there was a lot of effort but not any plan or idea as to where players were, instead of making things happen we were hoping they would there's a big difference. Sauve. Gone downhill faster than Eddie the Eagle. Shalla. Aweful. Neilson. Should of gone years ago. And the worst thing of all, everyone knows what the org will do about turning things round. Merry Christmas all.

I disagree with people saying we didn’t play well, we were intense, physical and created enough chances that would have gone in a month ago. The entire team seems short of confidence currently, somethings got to give at some point.
It’s also funny how people can go from adoring the team to hating them in such a short space of time, they’ve got the perfect opportunities now to redeem themselves, if we all get behind them they can do it.
Anyway let’s enjoy Christmas now!
