All power to you tootootrain . Hopefully all monies raised still go where intended . Indeed. The ideal outcome would be for Dave Simms to step down and thus there would be no issue regarding the charities receiving the funds. Unfortunately I believe his ego will take lead and as a result one charity at least may have to decline the funds. If he stepped down its also likely more would be raised. |

Cheers Tootootrain In an ideal world the prospect of using an unrepentant homophobe to try and raise money for charities wouldn't have been considered. Further still, in an ideal world said unrepentant homophobe wouldn't have remained in a position to be considered for this task. So yes, in an ideal world, this conversation would likely never have happened. We don't live in an ideal world though, so we are left to discuss the facts in hand; this being that his involvement could well negatively affect the overall aim of this endeavour. |
