Just had a look through the fixtures for December and they’re all tasty games. There’s a possible 20 league points up for grabs, not to mention 10 conference points! We face: Sheffield x 3 Manchester x 2 Cardiff x 1 Guildford x 1 Coventry x 1 Belfast x 1 Looking at the team, previous results of other teams and current form/trends in play I don’t see why we can’t get the maximum of 20 points. Think if you take the pre season projection of .800 hockey wins the league would you be happy with 16 points from those fixtures? Personally I would as long as the points dropped were against Coventry and Guildford. Don’t want our conference opposition to get points on us nor do we want Manchester getting points back against us!

Think you may have just jinked everything !!!! Our roster should be annihilating teams No need to worry about good luck/bad luck or jinxes

Our roster should be annihilating teams No need to worry about good luck/bad luck or jinxes On paper , yes we should, but the game isn't played on paper, things happen , injuries, fatigue, complacency. I'd be very happy with 15 points or more. In reality and knowing the Panthers, I think we'll end up with around 12.

No way we'll be unbeated in December.. We've started picking up injuries & have lost our last 2, so recent form is poor!
Also can't see us beating the Steelers (who nearly always play well against us) 3 times in a row... Then the likes of Belfast who have beaten the Panthers are in better form now!

On paper we aren’t even in the top 2. And with 7 games in 13 days between 22nd Dec and 3rd Jan we certainly won’t be winning them all !

Panthers O/s doesn’t say they’re all definitely playing this weekend. It’s cleverly worded,as usual. 😉 With or without them we should still be signing a spare.

Think you may have just jinked everything !!!! Our roster should be annihilating teams No need to worry about good luck/bad luck or jinxes Whilst you are right that same statement has bee said of plenty of Panthers teams at the end of November before. Now I will say as I have before that this team does look different to many that have gone before too. Their CHL performances and league position have earn't them a lot of respect and earned them a period of grace should form start to dip. However there are a few key things to consider. Firstly, this team has already played 35(THIRTY FIVE!!) games. With that schedule it's going to be tough. It's also the reason we should absoloutly have a spare. Besides, how often is there really a spare. How many domestic games have we played short this year(And playing with 2 import goalies doesn't count)? Probably enough to justify another import. And im sure a few guys have played when they should have been rested too. Bring them in early and they will be part of the bonded unit. There are so many games I don't see many opportunities for people to be upset at being left out. Anyway, back on track. Secondly, and back to the first sentance. You can't judge a Panthers team until you've seen them in December. I love this team, I think it is different to many that have gone before. But domestically there is still a lot of hockey to play. I can't get into predicting how December will go as feelings of this team and usual Decembers as polar opposites. Could be a clean 20 point sweep. Also could be a usual misserable 8 points. Here is hoping we do destroy in front of us and come out the other end with 18+.

Panthers O/s doesn’t say they’re all definitely playing this weekend. The absence of proof of one argument does not automatically prove its opposite. They may be playing, they may not... no way for us to know, is there? Anyway - Mokshantsev came back later on in the game on Sunday... so he's not "out injured", is he? Since when has the Panthers website ever been cleverly worded? The spelling mistakes alone put it at the crayon level... Dear oh dear... change the record, will you? This is getting like Donald Trump and his ruddy wall...

The only thing i predicted, prior to last weekend, was that our luck would soon run out......it did,we played short and we lost ! Can't understand people who settle for not giving themselves the best chance. To me,we should have bases covered and that means having a spare,we've done it in the goalie dept and it's worked a treat,so why not a skater. Not asking for a stud player, just a solid guy who could do a reasonable job.

There probably isn't any player out there who's better than what we have any within our budget

I've always said I'd like us to run with a spare import D and spare import F. However bringing someone in now could upset the balance of this team so it has to be the right person. Not necessarily someone (or someones) who is better than what we've currently got but someone who will fit in with the team ethos and work within the squad.

He would compete for his place and fill in to cover an injury. What’s better, playing with 13 imports or playing with 14 imports ?

Because you 'll end up with a sarkanis who's bloody useless . Keep a tight nit unit like they have . You just want them to bring any old clown in . I'd rather them play kelsall more or increase the minutes to our 4th line

Building a team involves more than just cramming the maximum number of players onto the bench. Getting the right balance is far more important...

No way will we get 20 out of 20. I’d be happy with 14/15.
Please change the title of this thread; unbeated?…unbeaten

With the way Braehead are improving I think you might come unstuck tomorrow.
Granted we've beaten teams we really should be beating but I believe we're getting on the right track.
