The fact of the matter is the footage Clantastic tweeted was apparently illegally obtained - Perlini’s wasn’t. If it was illegally obtained then why wasn't 'Clantastic' visited by the Police rather than contacted by Garath Chalmers? Likely because the Police would inform Mr Chalmers that, given the footage was released to 'Clantastic' by someone within the Braehead organisation, no crime was committed by him, rather it's an internal disciplinary matter. All Chalmers is trying to do is frighten 'Clantastic' in order to spill the beans, doing the legwork for him. Its a pretty shoddy state of affairs when you have to go after your loyal fans in order to address a staff disciplinary matter. Because copyright is a civil matter not a criminal issue.

Bans should be for very serious offences only. Disgusting way to treat loyal fans. Disserpointed if mr black is behind this, thought he had more grace. These club 'owners' need to realise the fans pay their wages.

I'd like to be first to ask if we can help Rob get to away games of his choice with his son, so that it is not expensive for them. A game that they both can meet with work/schooling etc not infringed upon.

The circumstances of the ban are what they are but Rob is a grown adult so surely if he chooses and budgets his own funds he will be able to take his son to any away game of his choice. Would you do this if he wasn’t banned from home games?

I really do appreciate the thought though and i'm thankful to all of you who have contacted the club about the ban and messaged me on here or social media. The main issue with away games is the finish times as Thomas is just 7. He can just about do a home Saturday night which gets us back home about 10pm.

Just go anyway, sit in a different seat and keep a low profile. Impossible to enforce.

Also I don't want to be sat watching the game worrying whether security could be coming at any minute. Especially if I had my son with me.

If you went to a game and the management found out, they could hold that against you. Keep calm and hopefully things sort themselves out. Best of luck mate.

He's answered himself obviously now and that was his choice.to decline.I don't think that offering to help him get to away games in favour of home ones was out if order. I don' t know his personal situation as you don't. It was just to make sure he gets to games. More so why bring about a negative from a positive?

Show that you have support in order to still attend games. As going away is much more costly. Not sure what away start times are these days , if some are earlier to get home better. See you at the meeting.

Wow. What happened to just going to a game and enjoying it? So much needless politics in UK ice hockey now, it’s starting to ruin the whole experience.
Shame.

If you are "just going to a game" you'll know nothing about any of this. Is it not a fact that its only by you choosing to do something other than "just going to a game" that you've found out about this? I'm sure there are thousands of ice hockey fans up and down the country who continue to enjoy their ice hockey as much as they always have, despite what you believe is "needless politics". I'd call your comments hyperbole if it weren't for the fact that I think you truly believe it.

Some good news. Clantastic the Braehead Clan fan who was banned recently has now had the ban revoked.
Hopefully mine will be revoked in time for the CHL game.

Alternatively tweet something from the Trust account and send the rallying call round to us members to tweet it etc...

In the hope that someone from Panthers IS monitoring this thread, come on guys, show some compassion. Rob Scott is a passionate Panthers supporter, and as Neil Black has said before, hockey needs passionate people.
Rob travelled to Bern to support the team, and irrespective of who is right or wrong it would be just cruel to keep him away from this, the most important game in Panther’s history. In addition, since going to a few games at the end of last season, Rob’s 8 year old son has become an obsessive ice hockey fan. The ban is hurting him as much as Rob.
I know that Rob is absolutely gutted that an idea that was started with such good intentions has come to such a terrible end. And it WAS started with good intentions, not as an anti club protest or to get anyone sacked. Anyway, that’s by-the-by, the Trust is as good as dead, in my opinion.
Rob has accepted the ban so far. He has not attempted to “sneak in” to games, and his response has been measured and dignified. He is one supporter amongst thousands and his presence at the game will hurt the club not one iota.
I know that the circumstances are totally different, but as the ban on the Breahead supporter has been lifted, could you not, in the spirit of reconciliation, just give Rob a ring tomorrow and let him know he and his son can attend this momentous game.
Let your customers see the human face of the Nottingham Panthers management team.

Not any kind of substitute for being there though.

Not any kind of substitute for being there though. Certainly not but that's the most likely thing at this late stage.

Just an update on this for anyone who is interested. I emailed the club yesterday to ask for a resolution to this situation.
If you haven't contacted the club yet but were thinking of the next couple of days would be great.
Thanks for all the messages of support on here and social media.
Cheers
Rob

Would you really want to go back after this kind of treatment? PAying into a club that have such disdain for their fans?

Would you really want to go back after this kind of treatment? PAying into a club that have such disdain for their fans? It certainly makes you think but it's not the fault of the guys wearing the Jerseys and I guess you can't just turn it off after nearly 20 years. It's also the people you meet along the way and now my son is hooked so he's missing out as well.
