Well Steelers lost 3-4 to Giants in what sounds like was an eventful dirty game up in Shuff, with the usual suspects involved... Expect some bans from this game - not any Steeler players of course - anybody seen the foul by Fretter

The amount of naughty type pens he's taken since he's been here is ridiculous. And that was before tonight ! He's a bigger liability than even Fitzgerald !!!!

So glad that we could give the Devils a boost.

As most people usually say, there is no shame in losing in Cardiff. To be fair it's generally expected. The problem was the nature of the defeat tonight. A pretty miserable performance all around. Poor defensively, poor ofensively and iffy goal tending. To be honest I also think we were a little unlucky at times. Perhaps a couple of penalties missed followed imediatly by Cardiff goals. Derlargo(I think) hit the pipe work, and that strange 3rd goal.
Still 6 2 is about spot on and what we deserved.
No issues with any imports outright at this point. The team continues to show it's qualities in occasions. However i'd like us to follow Cardiff and Sheffield and add a touch of quality. Somebody to allow us to mix it up a bit and put a bit of pressure on for places. Also, i think it's time to stick with a hot goalie rather than chopping and changing. A lot of games to come in a short period so some will be neccasery, however goalies can do 2 in 2 and i'd like to see us srick with one until they have an off one.

A dissapointing performance, Corey's gameplan to keep control and breakout from behind our own net was completely overpowered by the Devils high, 2 man fore-check.
We were very poor in the face off circle.
Garnett was off it, I think we should try and have a consistent goalie and rotate when one has a bad performance because he didn't impress tonight or keep us in the game.
Powerplay still needs work, I think the fact we are left hand heavy isn't doing us any favours, Mosey is right handed and I think he should be introduced into one of the units.
We didn't mix our gameplan up enough, we weren't crashing the net, we were nowhere near the second shot opportunities.
Can someone tell me if the icepad in the Devils rink is smaller than ours?
We regroup and move on from this disappointing performance.

Our ice pad is Olympic size, as for your Nettie he was rock solid to start, and certainly kept you in it. He has to be one of the best in the league surely.

It’s was a poor game, showed signs that we might get a handle on the game but we once again failed to clear the zone, clear the front of the net and maintain control of the puck for extended periods of play. Garnett had an off night and I’d be looking the let Galbraith have a run of games as see if he can keep good form going. I’m at a loss because we’ve played so well in the CHL, show brilliance in the league at times but then we play like that tonight with was very average. Still at least a few results went out way and plenty of hockey left to play. Need our goal scorers to start scoring ASAP and get onto the front foot early in games. We’ve got a young team, full of talent we should be playing high energy hockey. Corey needs a fresh game plan because at the minute it’s not working and hasn’t done for some time now

I do wish people would stop trying to use the excuse that we have a young team.
We have 14 players aged 26 plus with 6 of those aged over 30. These aren't kids, they are all grown men,the vast majority of whom have most likely been playing hockey for 20 plus years !

If your referring to my comment as an excuse for the young team I’m not saying that’s why we’re losing games I’m saying it’s a reason we should be playing high tempo hockey.

We have 14 players aged 26 plus with 6 of those aged over 30. I make it 5 players over 30... Galbraith (31) Garnett (34) Spang (34) Clarke (36) Derlago (31)

Erik's 30, per EliteProspects (I guess it depends what you mean by over 30).
Do they really need excuses at this point? We're 7-3-0 in the league. I'm quite happy with it at this point.
I've not seen any of today's game, but on the face of it a disappointing result with it being so one-sided in terms of scoring.

Lots of people keep referring to this "young team" I'm not picking on anybody in particular. Crikey even Corey keeps referring to it,like its some form of excuse.
But we have.... 6 players 30 plus 1 player 28 6 players 27
That is not what you would call an especially young team,it's an energetic team in its prime years.

The defense is a shambles. We have two so called goat scorers who could'nt score in a brothel. If it was'nt for Europe they would be gone.

Wasn’t a great performance, but we are still well in the mix at the minute, 4 conference points last weekend. Can’t win them all, as for Garnett he was hung out to dry!

The two points lost I can live with, the lack of intensity and the fact we were out worked doesn't sit as comfortably with me.
Cardiff were first to every puck and I think I can count this amount of face off wins on one hand. It was a shambles last night.
The manner of the defeat was so disappointing for a team until now I hadn't even thought of questioning their work rate.
Turn it around please boys.
