A decent performance considering we had little to play for. Think Galbraith might want a couple of goals back, but overall had a respectable game. Farmer shown on the team sheet, but I didn't see him ice once?

We competed. Remember, three years ago we got spanked by a Finnish team. We had more shots on goal, more Powerplays (although we didnt convert any). We lost to three late goals which Turku needed and we didnt

Good debut from Galbraith. 5-2 is not a fair reflection of the game as thought we were the better team for 50 minutes.
2 2+2 powerplays not converted (although the puck movement was good).
Onto the round of 16!

Iced for 16 mins & 13 secs over the game Wow - I simply didn't notice him tonight! Perhaps it was due to the fact the lines were all over the place once Gagnon got tossed. Think Lindhagen dropped back. Without Clarke it left us 11 forwards. Lines were anyhow after that. I think he appeared to get less time as the game went on though.

I suppose the main thing tonight was not getting any injuries and not getting embarrassed. Mission accomplished

Looking good for Bern to be the 2nd team to qualify from our group, barring a 3rd period collapse (4-1 up after 40). I assume they edge out Turku on head-to-head?

Should have won that game. Same old, same old story and didnt take our numerous chances yet again. Turku's goalie did play very well, but jeez when are these Panthers forwards going to start putting the bloody puck in the net. Our shot to goal conversion is appalling !

As is our Powerplay and Penaltykill. The players have the talent, so Corey really has to sort the tactics out cos they're simply not working. Could part of the problem be that Corey is a defenceman not a forward, and as a result has less knowledge of offence to draw on? Just a thought.

Every year we change numerous players, yet the powerplay remains crap. Only one common denominator there !

I sometimes wonder if you run your account as a parody of yourself? #jokingnotjoking Bern qualify with us after a 5-2 win over Mountfield.

That was a sweet, sweet goal there from Lacho... perfectly placed just under the crossbar... and Ollie's strike was nice, good work close in.
First look at Galbraith... was impressed by the sequence of saves he made just before Turku's 1st goal. Didn't do so well against their high-velocity PP shots, but couldn't tell how much he was being screened.
It's odd to think that our first and last games in this group were both 5-2 losses that - before the tournament started - would have been considered by almost everyone to have been good results. 4 wins (including 1 away win and 1 shutout) and qualification at the top of the group for the knockout round... it still doesn't seem real somehow!

Noticed that Turku's 3rd and 4th goals were almost exactly the same, one timer from the circle, glove side, over the shoulder. The 5th was similar.
