Myself and my other half have pencilled in a trip to Toronto-Niagara-New York in Later November/early December. As a Leafs fan I've always wanted to see a game at the ACC and if I can make it happen this trip then perfect. I know that Leafs tickets are hard to get a hold of but just want to hear of anybody's experiences of trying to get tickets. Has anybody managed to get them through the 'proper' way or through touts on the day? I'm prepared for the fact that I may have to try through a tout but just looking to see how much I'd expect to pay. For a non-Ottawa, Habs...etc game I expect between $100-225 depending on the game and day. I will wait for the schedule but if need be I'll try and arrange it so I could try Buffalo or a New York team to see them when they are on the road which may be a little easier but ACC is on my bucket list I'd just like to hear of anybody's experiences

When we went we bought tickets on Ebay. The guy bought them to our hotel. We did make sure he had good reviews, and would not have dealt with anyone who would have tried to circumnavigate going through Ebay.
Whilst there, we also took in a Marlies game, which we actually enjoyed more than the Leafs!

Hi Shorty, Thanks for your input, out of interest how much were your tickets off Ebay and where in the arena were they?

Hi,
It was about 2007, so can't really remember those details I'm afraid. The tickets were face value though.

When we've been to NHL games, we've used stub hub which is secure and an easy way to do things. Admittedly never used it for a Canadian team but we used it to watch the Rangers vs Maple Leafs at MSG a couple of years ago no problems!

Remember there's teams like Brampton Beast, Mississauga Steelheads, Niagara Ice Digs, Hamilton Bulldogs etc.. Not too far from Toronto. Leafs are the most expensive in the NHL unfortunately.

Might be worth an Email to their PR team, state your reasons for wanting to come and see them your history with the team and ask them if it would be possible to arrange to leave them a Panthers shirt etc as an exchange. Then ask them if there is anyway of securing a ticket for a certain date as you are limited on the games you can watch due to being thousands of miles away so not being able to come back next week!
You never know they may just sort you out.
