Cardiff this year is so far out of every teams budget capabilities that no one could compete with them. They spent so much more on their team they should win at a trot. You will see a reality check next year. Can't be right. We spent the most, Neil said.

You will see a reality check next year. We'd have faired much better with a roster of players who weren't essentially signed by Lawrence

You will see a reality check next year. The spending power of Cardiff is wildly exaggerated. They're strong and with their rink arrangements one of the top four in spending power but they're certainly not in a league of their own. If IAW was twice the size and they were filling it then they'd be runaway champs but financially their roster this year isn't that special.

You will see a reality check next year. That Cardiff team is good and no doubt fairly expensive, but Panthers could blow that team out the water if they wanted to....easily ! Problem is though,Panthers just aren't willing to. Cardiffs team is very very much like our grand slam team,it's just solid all the way through, with every base covered from Brits to skill, passers, scorers and toughness. Look at their team resume wise though and Panthers this year was probably better. The BIG difference is they had goals in them, they wanted it more, their players wanted it more and their owners and coach wanted it more. I really cannot understand why Neilson can't even grasp how to put a team together that has all the components a team needs,it shouldn't be hard to do,yet look at what we had this season, just a collection of players and that was it !

If you want an expensive team, check out Belfasts roster....it is stacked. They should have walked the league !

Cardiff are the best team because they have balance. Ourselves and Steelers dont have balanced teams which is why both set of fans are not happy with how the seasons gone.
Belfast and Cardiff both have stay at home d men, transition d men, play makers, snipers and gritty toughness on thier teams. Cardiff have more depth in the 3rd and 4th lines which is why they are on top.

Then you look at Panthers. Where are the passers/set up men. Who are the deadly snipers. Where are the hitters. Where is the wind up merchant. Where are the tough stay home Dmen. They aren't there,it's just a collection of players who do a bit of this and a bit of that in an average way !

I guess our expectations are low then if they are the best out there or Notts is not where they want to be.

Depends on who we get in as coach, if we got Adams or Adey then I'd like to see what they could do with a Braehead team. Adams won the league with the Steelers then they get rid of him and bring in Thommo.
Not too sure who I want in though, wouldn't want another rookie player/coach after the Season 3 debacle with Jordan Krestanovich. Some fans clamouring for Matt Keith and another wants Vandermeer off Belfast, not for me. I'd rather have a coach that knows the league and has experience of winning the big trophies in this country.

Adey to Clan wouldn't be too bad a shout in fairness. Obviously knows NB. Plus it could be a prime opportunity to stick the finger up at GM the GM, show the league what he's capable of again.
I hope Finnerty stays somewhere in the league.

Pretty sure devils have the most expensive team by a fair way, don't have to pay rent and heavily subsidised by owners who love the sport and the club. When a player like doucet is a scratch fairly often you know you're stacked...

Panthers never bother to search further afield and just look around the 'British hockey circle' Like a coach in NA will have heard of GM to form a opinion he's no good !! They haven't the foresight to advertise over there like Blaze did with Weber
