With the CHL issuing the tweet stating that we haven't been invited to next season's competition, assuming that we are not entered into next season's CHL, are we automatically entered into next season's Continental Cup or do we have to have to win this season's Play-Offs?
Surely we should be allowed to defend our trophy if we are not in the CHL?

They've issued a tweet saying it needs approval from the CHL board, which is what they said beforehand, so I don't see any reason to assume the worst. I would imagine our previous efforts in the CHL and good turnouts at the NIC would work in our favour.

They've issued a tweet saying it needs approval from the CHL board... I believe the approval is largely based on home venue requirements (for hosting CHL games) to stop teams with inappropriate venues (such as Ritten!) getting automatic entry.

YES - but I am greedy and want some more now - this was what NB had said he wanted, now he has it let's give the fans what they want, maybe not this season now, but a must for next season, especially if we are in the CHL

Fantastic achievement. So so proud of the lads.
History makers.
Really hope the CHL don't screw over the EIHL and we have two teams next season...us and the league champs. As it should be!!!
"We're going on another European tour..." (I hope!!!).
Bloody brilliant.

"We're going on another European tour..." (I hope!!!). Bloody brilliant. I can't see why the CHL would refuse entry based on our previous attempt. If we are in it. We should merely treat it as a pre season preparation for the SERIOUS league campaign no short term contract nonsense . Sign players for the CHL and league

Shoutout to Pidge for the sceptical approach, no doubt the difference in this historic win! Jokes aside fantastic result, not just for us but for the EIHL as well. They did what I said they had to do. They played 3 cup finals in 3 days. It was never a impossible task just ended up being easier than I thought possible. Tremendous achievement this is almost up there with our achievements 4 years ago. This definitely puts panthers and British hockey and how league on the European map. All in good fun, secretly had low expectations after the last time we rocked up to this tournament's zebra enclosure. But as you say, puts us on the map big time.

Does anyone else find it strange, nothing from the owner Neil Black I'd sooner us have an owner that says nothing publicly, instead of one that tries to pick the team, constantly changes coach, is always on social media, says how much he loves his club, then tries to bleed it dry and sell up, but can't find a buyer...alledgedly. I'd bet Neil has spoken to the relevant people.

Re our participation in the CHL next year being 'subject to board approval'... I've been told that was mainly put in because clubs were concerned about the Kazakhstan team winning the Continental Cup and getting into the CHL, because of the extra distance they'd all have to travel. Allegedly we should have no problem having our entry rubber-stamped. Make of that what you will...

Initially the statement panicked me, but on reflection I think we will be ok and play in the CHL, it's no bad thing that they do some due dilliegence on the teams entering to make sure travel, hotels, security and arena are up to scratch.

Guess which idiot planned to have a team in to do a "spring clean" at work until 9pm tonight. Managed to have it on and listen and see the last few minutes. Great acheivement. Well done all involved. Special mention to Corey. Plenty of us( me included) have given him plenty of stick this season, however you cannot discredit his contribution. Although cup competitions are his specialty, this is a step up. Well done Corey. Guess where i'll be when the boys are welcomed home next weekend.... yep away with the missus for the wedding anniversary. for fudges sake. Don't worry some of us are picking up the slack
