Good to see Mustokovs back with Steelers..... He could have a 4th attempt at the rebound he gave up to Lacho 6 years ago. I'm guessing ur just saying you will think it will happen and I think it will too be has it happened yet?

As much as Cam is tough as nails and probably the toughest guy in the league I feel it would be good to have a second tough guy to share the load with Cam. I'd take Batch but I feel with Lee Oakford and Swindlehirst we've got our British D men sorted. swindlehurst wont be back next year \ Apparently Swindlehurst viewed as making too many mistakes, while Oakford progressed.

I agree, oakford was solid last season, swindlehurst made too many noticeable errors and was very silly at giving penalties away, he's young and his game will improve vastly though

I've got Brad Day and Ervins Mustokovs for the two Steelers signings on Wednesday.

I listened to the Cats Whiskers podcast & they to were on about Stevie Lee's season & I'm sure it was said he had one of his best seasons going he has more points than Macmillan, Farmer & Lacho which is surprising after the amount of stick he received.

Points wise he had a decent season but he's a defenceman and his defensive play was shocking for the most part of the season.

MOST of the games I saw last season I thought Lee was shockingly poor however his form (and the team) did improve in the cup games and the playoffs..
Personally I still think Swindlehurst was a better defenceman but hey ho, guess its up to the coach.

We would be stupid to let Swindlehurst go IMO.
Yeah he still has some progressing to do but hes better than Oakford and made less mistakes than Lee last season.
Swindlehurst is still a prospect and a very good one at that. Oakford is past that stage now and should be a key player in panthers roster if he wants to stay, but he is not good enough to be a key guy.
Swindlehurst has a lot going for his game, hes a very good skater, big(long reach) and a good hard shot. he probably just need to put on some upper body weight to help in out muscle and battle players in front of our own net.

I think he would be like D. Phillips for Sheffield so would be nice to keep Swindlehurst.
I think now that lee has stopped playing physical he isn't much good anymore IMO

Moose and Day 'seem' to be the worst kept secret if it is them.

Yes - I thought Stevie had a very average (putting it mildly) season, with a lot of give aways. The best Brit? I didn't think so - had to Mathew Myers.

hope not... if I had to order the brits retained for me it would have to be clark, myers, farmer, oakham, swindlehurst, lee, betteridge then lacho at the mo and I couldn't imagine myself saying that this time last season...

Rumours on steeltalk of Farmer going there.. If this turns out to be true a serious statement from Steelers, serious upgrade on Netminder, added a very handy Brit D man and replace the useless Hewitt with Farmer. Serious upgrade on their League winning team. Would leave Panthers with a lot to do to keep up you'd feel given you'd expect a weaker Brit pack with the loss of Farmer. Here is hoping just forum talk....

Simms mentioned earlier that Steelers are more than likely done in terms of adding British players. Farmer will probably stay, obviously gets on with Corey and the guys, especially Janssen.
Steelers are announcing another signing in the morning, a new name to the league, then adding another player on Friday but with tomorrow's news, there's also bad news.

Rumours on steeltalk of Farmer going there.. Can't see it, would be very disappointing if that was allowed to happen.
