No that's not what I said, you should read it again. ? A spare is a drain on resource in my opion if he is to sit on a bench. Not a fact but my opion Well my opinion is. That Panthers could easily afford to have two spare/injury cover players sitting on the bench all season long and the fact they don't shows that they do not do everything they can to win. If Sheffield,Belfast and Cardiff can have spare players, then there is absolutely no reason whatsoever why Panthers cannot or should not have them.

Okay, but if it was your business, would you spend you're money on two players to sit on a bench all season? Nearly every other league in the world does.

Okay, but if it was your business, would you spend you're money on two players to sit on a bench all season? Yes I most certainly would. Because a winning team is a crowd pleaser, put a cracking team on the ice and the NIC crowds will get even bigger. I am utterly amazed that Moran and Black seem oblivious to that fact. The other point is,spare players aren't going to sit on the bench all season, because somebody is going to get injured. My point is,don't wait for the injuries then play short and take a month to react, get the cover in place from the start of the season,so it's ready when we need it,or if we are lucky with injuries, you then still have chance to rest and rotate the odd guy now and then !

We signed Mark Lee,Corey said he had been on his radar for a long time. He got here, played about two shifts of a warm up game in some daft pre season competition over in France,an old back injury flared up......and he never played another minute for Panthers ! I don't think this is a fair example. Mark Lee played the season before coming to us and the season after, so logic would dictate it was down to bad luck more than anything else.

Mark Lee had a long term injury which flared back up after five minutes in a Panthers shirt. I think he assured CN that he was fit thinking that the EIHL was more like the EPL when in fact he wasn't.

Only 3 of the Brit pack signed so far, Neilson says "a shake up of the Brit pack" new backup keeper perhaps, Clarke going to EPL team?, Oakford? and Betteridge will he leave because of the lack of ice time

Our 'Brit Pack' won't change. If it was, we'd have attempted to sign Peacock.

The quote was in the Nottingham Post 26th April "Corey Neilson says Nottingham Panthers' group of British players could be set for a shake-up this summer"

If we are losing Myers could we be going after Colin Shields? Rumors are hes on his way out of Belfast. If so Jeff Brown would effectively be Myers replacement. Just a thought.

It's his picture on the Season Ticket application form as well. I'm expecting Clarke, Oakford and Green to be back but we would still appear to be 1 player short of 13,7,2.

I'm sure he would be classed as a Brit as it looks like he trained in Guilford. Could be totally wrong.
Like Stewart I would have him as a Brit but no as an import.

I'd hope Clarke has signed on but you never know with Panthers, they might just be using his name and pictures to gain ST Sales.
I'd assume Perlini would be a Brit with his development being partly in the British System but i'm sure there's a minimum time period you must've trained in the UK to be eligible, but i'm unsure what that is. Despite playing under the required amount of games in a season to obtain the Visa (assuming he needs one?)he'd still be eligible due to missing a lengthy period due to injury so he's probably played around 90% of games in which he was available for selection.

I think one of the main objectives for next season should be to utilise the 'Will Grigg's on Fire' chant for a Panther (incase you're unaware please YouTube it)! Suitable names could be Jeff Brown or Steve Schultz. Priorities

Wonder when we will be seeing what the players will be wearing next season. would love us to go with a blackout jersey or something similar to the Islanders third strip this season.

People loved the anniversary logo so they could be thinking about using that, but given how big a deal they made about it and the jerseys, i wouldn't be surprised if that logo was to never grace a jersey again. I'm hoping we stick to the traditional Gold for home, and Black for Challenge Cup, obviously there'll be a christmas jersey too. I'd like them to do a Military Style Warm-Up Jersey or Hockey Fights Cancer jersey.
As for the Sebastien Thinel suggestion, he's a superb player.. would do very well over here but given his French Canadian background and kids growing up i'd only be able to see him staying put in France (despite being released by Grenoble) or retiring and returning to Quebec, LNAH perhaps? and focusing on his kids' development.

The 'gold' that they use is horrific though, last seasons black jersey was miles better than the mustard one.

I agree the colour is horrible, I wish they would go back to the original black and gold jerseys like we used to have in the 80's and 90's
