I doubt it will be Francis, judging by the fact that we've got Schultz Kolnik Janssen and betteridge who arrival natural RW, could be wrong though Franny can play centre though

While I'm not one for constant "news items" that essentially say we're working on it but nothing to report, the constant trumpeting of who's appearing in Neilson's testimonial while we are desperately in need of a proper signing or two to complete the squad and/or cover injuries feels like someone taking the michael and having priorities somewhat skewed. Personally I am interested in who we are planning to bring in to play for the actual team and when, not so much who's coming over for a couple of days' holiday and a skate-about and booze up with some old team mates.

I would've thought a defenceman would be required at this stage. No Peckham, Wieds injured, Waugh injured, we're short aren't we?

Yeah, can make the 3 lines but would've thought you'd want 7 normally for a little in-game cover. If one of them goes down, or to the box, we're making up defensive lines on the fly and the natural fill in from the forwards (Mosey) is already in use, as you say.

Trying to get settled forward lines when one of the forwards is having to cover on D is far from ideal. Plus we're looking at either giving Oakford regular shifts or going with 5 D if CN decides not to play Oakford regularly. Out of those 6, only one (Swindlehurst) is a left shot. If we are going to pick up another D then we need a left shot ideally to balance the line up. Peckham and Wiedergut are both lefties so imagine this is what CN will be looking at. We need somebody in - one more injury this weekend and it's bare bones less than a month into the season.

Waugh out for nine weeks, Wiedergut gone, Clarke, who knows, and no sign of the final import, but at least the Panthers have their priorities right. Dan Tessier booked for Corey Neilson's testimonial.

Shame about Wieds, looked decent enough in the games we saw him. Good luck to him in his recovery.
Nothing on the official site about it of course.

Of course there's nothing on the official site about it Yotes. They are far too busy reminding us three times a day for the last week or so that there's a double header of home games this weekend than to waste valuable column inches on bad news that a player is going home !!!!!!

I'm weirdly struggling for motivation this season. The slapdash and unprofessional way that they club has gone about things leaves a pretty nasty taste in my mouth.
I just don't feel that the club are as bothered about winning as the fans are.
I'm extremely busy in my work life at the moment and have 2 young sons. It's still September but I'm already finding it difficult to get "up" for the match and to justify the time spent away from work/ family.
Hoping for a good game and win this evening to get me going. Probably a culmination of the last 2 seasons efforts as well.

Do definitely agree about the 'slapdash and unprofessional' bit and the 2nd paragraph though. The off-ice product has achieved the impossible and has got worse.

And still no official announcement on Wiedergut, so those fans who don't have twitter or not members of this forum are still unaware! I'm in agreement with ftm, once again the club can't be bothered, focus again on money spinning projects, plenty of news on the players coming in for the testimonial but little else being offered!

Agree there is a huge obsession with the Corey testimonial, maybe they are stupid enough to think that this will take the heat of the club. I wish we had a Gareth Chambers behind us instead of Moran. The Clan are so slick in how they are run and far more professional, in my opinion. I also suspect the testimonial is not cheap either, do you think that is why we are going one import down? Or will the attendance at the match cover the costs? Maybe we will get two wins this week and people will feel more settled, but then maybe two defeats will put pressure on the powers that be to sit up and act....

Or read the Nottingham Post... A player leaving the club, albeit after only 2 games, should warrant some twitch from the club. They've not even tweeted about it. If it hadn't been posted on here I wouldn't have been aware. Then again when longer serving players have left they've not done anything either so no surprise.

To be fair the only cost to the club for the testimonial is the player's time. It's a completely separate committee who organised David Clarke's and the same with this one. The club have really nothing to do with it. Im just wondering if someone coming over for it is going to stick around and become the final import.

Is there any cost in people staying away? Many ST but I'm watching the Rugby today, the marathon and a day out tomorrow. Not been informed of much to impress me to return for the odd game as yet.
