My concern for Boxill is ice time. If we're gonna stick him on a 4th line, will he be tempted to join a smaller club for the added time? His goalscoring needs improving but he got a decent amount of assists and was excellent on the PK this past year. Really hope Corey persuades him to stay

An excellent signing. Looking forward to Pidge's opinion on this one. Excellent signing. In Lee and Swindlehurst we have 2 of the top brit d men. There you have it . It's a full house folks!!! Huzzah, huzzah, huzzah!!!

Have a feeling either boxill or Lacho won't be returning. Happy with the signing though.

Where does that leave Sam Oakford?
With vastly reduced ice time I would think

Where does that leave Sam Oakford? With vastly reduced ice time I would think If it does it does. That's sport and that's life. I'm sure he would have been fully aware of the situation before committing to the team.

Where does that leave Sam Oakford? With vastly reduced ice time I would think Maybe but what can you do? Oakford has to use this as motivation to improve and fight for every minute. The EIHL isn't a development league. I know that's harsh but that's the way it is. I also think though that the young Brits understand this. Maybe he will be moved to the EPL ala Tom Norton on a two way deal.

Can't see an issue if we are runnin 4 lines. That's 8 defencemen, with the probability of Mosey playing as a forward.

Where does that leave Sam Oakford? With vastly reduced ice time I would think Im sure Corey has said that Oakford wasnt supposed to get as much ice time as he did last lesson but due to injuries he did and it helped him. Didn't Norton leave because he wanted more ice time, maybe Oakford is willing to wait for it?

Theres no such thing as rolling 4 defenensive pairings, if will be 6 d and 12 forwards .Oakford will be spare d and to cover fatigue etc and depending if Boxill and Lacho sign , Ollie will be the 13th forward

Swindlehurst got the numbers 23 to be fair that was his number at Dundee, last season Landry was 23 so do we take that Landry is not returning? www.eliteprospects.com/team.php?team=209&year0=2016 Looking at the line up so far Panthers want 2 import D men, lets hope Wild is one and enforcer for the other

More like 3! I don't want mosey as a d man. There's better out there and hes better using his speed on the 3rd line and pk etc

Mmmm, who says how many Import D we will have ? Seems to change every flipping year,we win the league with four, then the next year we have three and the next year five....COREY wants to make his bloody mind up.
It could be TWO next season.....we should have four !

It could be TWO next season.....we should have four ! I guess the number will depend on the other Brit signings, hopefully we will get both Lacho and Boxhill, out of the two I'd take Lacho as with good support he is a great player and can put the puck in the net. Ideally I'd love both back. Guess it depends if Lacho wants to try his luck overseas, this was mentioned last season, so who knows. In the newspaper article Corey states that he has his eye on two more Brits, so let's see. I don't expect much more news on imports for a while, we will play the waiting game and hopefully find some real gems.

Seriously, if Panthers are signing an average but quick d man with the intention of playing him out of position as a forward then that's very poor. Is he the only dual national available in the entire world?? That would be the only justification.

It is mad,if they want him as a forward, they should just sign a proper forward. I reckon he is signed simply for his versatility and to cover injuries.
Mosey is most effective on defence though, where he can use his speed to frighten the other team and break out with speed from defence and go end to end.
