Seriously what are you on about? Gerad Adams is coach and to be honest any new coach is good for the Devils. I tell you what some people have no idea what this club is going through at the moment

Not good news from Cardiff today. A report can be found on the BBC Sports online. The statement issued by the Devils management (to be found on the Elite League and other forums) is as follows:

The ^^^above^^^ statement is concerning for any British ice hockey fan, not only the Devils. I think I speak for every fan in the league when I say that I hope Devils pull through this rough patch in their history. British ice hockey need the Cardiff Devils.

Makes you wonder how much Paterson was on if it was a choice between him or some top end players. Especially given the fact that he could still be playing as well as coaching them.

Obviously really bad news, but the story on the BBC Website sounds encouraging for the longer term:
"Something had to give and now we can be sure the Devils will finish the season in a strong position"
So at least it sounds as though this decision is one which safeguards the future of the club.
Patterson to Steelers as a "Sorry for having to do that" from Phillips??

I have it from a reliable source that he makes 500 a week. I for one am gutted he has gone and in no way did he deserve this. You couldn't ask for more in a coach. No one can deny that he gave our club everything he had and more.

2 points need to thought of here of mis management possibly....
In July it was evident there was a delay in the construction of the rink, why did they still take the players to Hungary??? Why invest in a new website??
Now some people have said that Hungary was partially sponsored, but surely that sponsorship couldv'e went to better things!!

As i said on KOTG mate, we were on budget while the council lied and lied. Once we knew opening date was December we had already gone to hungary. The Devils havent spent over budget in hopes of succes, we have struggled on while being lied to by the council. Had the council begged the Finland company to build our rink it would have been up on time, as it was ice associates built it and made a pigs ear of it and it STILL isnt complete properly. Look at Manchesters rink with supposedly 3 weeks to go until opening date, it looks much less finished than ours was with 3 weeks to go, worrying times for the phoenix As for Mis management imo anyone else in charge and we would have gone away months ago

I'm wondering now how Manchester are managing to survive......

Would the Devils have grounds to take legal action against the Council? It certainly seems that Cardiff's financial problems are as a result of incompetence.
