Having watched the game on premier sports, it looked like we were out played pretty much we were against Lukko and Lulea. But it also appeared that the german ref favoured Hamburg a lot, there seemed to be a fair bit of elbows and slashing from the freezers that went unpunished. Now I'm not saying the English refs favoured us because it didn't seem so, because we all know what sort of ref mickey hickey is. But it's over now, time to get the league and CC campaigns going.

Poor preparation from Panthers last night, they said would take it seriously so why fly on game day & turn up 4 hours before the game? Got what they deserved I'm afraid, now we are out of the chl lets get rid of the deadwood players & bring in some eihl quality players, with Lawrence & berube at the top of my list to go. Berube? Seriously?? Berube ? Seriously We gave players like Steve lee is at a minus 11 for the CHL Brian Schmidt a minus 9 and Berube was minus 5, and Landry a minus 5, and thats with Berube and Landry being paired against the top line. Can't even imagine what Lee and Schmidt would be at if they actually keep this stat in our league. Pretty sure it would be laughable. Out of all our home game at least Berube has maybe been on for 4 or 5 goals against. Wild/Lee pairing would be the worst. Now let's look at our PK, Landry and Berube are our #1 unit to kill penalties and their record has proved to be damn good. A player has one off game and you are ready to kick him to the curb. When he was away with injury we got killed those 2 games, on his return against Coventry he played exceptional and it would have been a lose without his return If you want to pick players apart for yesterday's game you could start with Robinson, high paid player, did nothing, Schmidt shat the bed, Lee couldn't find the puck if it was the size of a beach ball, Wild was invisible. Clarke was way off his game in every aspect, but he just came back from injury so cut him some slack, Lawrence is always out of position, Jacina fought the puck all night, and I can go on and on. If you want to evaluate players properly you need to take 4 seperate games and pick out one line and one defensive pairing and make a respectable breakdown after that. To just throw a player under the bus because one off game sounds amateur at best.

Nice review coach, but this review has not comd from one game it's my view from the season, I guess different people have different views, enjoy the season

Can't really be blaming individuals, thought it was our inability to make anything stick going forward in the second that really killed us, no respite for the defence and Craig, they were bound to run up the score. Hamburg were just better than us. Would've loved them to give us a goal though, Mosey and Lacho probably had the best chances to provide it, but wasn't to be. A shame, but still a great trip and very glad I got to witness it.

One question on the game, when they announced our team they had a Ben and Jordan Cownie. The CHL site only had Jordan, was it just a muck up or is there a Cownie II?

I was pretty hacked off not to be able to go, so I was glad to get at least a flavour of the evening from your podcast. I was also taken by Aaron's comments about the ambition of the club in taking on the CHL challenge, and interested in how often the words 'incredible', 'fantastic' and 'amazing' featured in talking about the experience. I want to do it again, hopefully not so early in the season.

That was a fantstic trip! My second favourite away trip, after winning the league in Belfast. Now lets win the league so we can do it again.

First rule of hockey, +/- is completely unreliable and often hugely misleading on it's own.
