So what do people think of it?
To me, I thought it was very poor, looked rushed and will do little do increase the excitement of the crowd.
Whilst it is nice to see some of our greatest players, some of the pictures were gone before you even had a chance to look at them properly.

For me it was flat. Did nothing to get the adrenaline pumping.

The music didn't help - what on Earth WAS that?

Really poor I'm afraid. I didn't think the new one could be worse than last years but it truly is.

Yes agree with you panthersnation, the new goal song was catchy, but only left a couple of seconds for our Chelsea dagger.totally agree with GuinnessMan, the intro was flat, I ended up turning away and looking at the crowd to estimate the attendance it was that bad, and the "World Famous Arena" is starting to grate on me now

Very poor intro vid. They're usually cringeworthy efforts but this was near the top of the pain scale.

New video was a bit flat and its just going to get worse the more we see it. On a good note really like the new goal music and thought that the music in general was a serious step up. Fans were also in great voice last night.

I much prefer the new goal song to Chelsea dagger. That's getting a bit boring now. Don't like the new video at all though.

Very poor intro vid. They're usually cringeworthy efforts but this was near the top of the pain scale. Whilst I don't always think the intro's are to my taste, saying they're usually cringeworthy makes me think you've not actually watched anything. Although last years wasn't to everyones liking, the last thing you could say was that it was cringeworthy. Everyone entitled to their opinion of course, but can't see how just coming out with slapstick comments like that help things, as opposed to a few ideas. I like the old photos, but seem to remember that being done a few years ago. Atmosphere was good last night and music generally better. Hopefully a good sign of things to come this season!

There always cringeworthy imo. Last years effort was the best for a few years.
I've 'watched' them all, trust me.

So what was cringeworthy about last year's for example. Like I say I get it doesn't work for all, but cringeworthy just sounds a bit over the top? Everyone has different tastes obviously but I think you should start by questioning what the purpose of the into video is. It's there to get the fans fired up and present the team. So it needs some pretty obvious ingredients. The correct music and then the team. I'm not a fan of historical players appearing. The retired jerseys are the history of the club so if some previous footage is required then show the retired shirts & potentially a flashback to the recent grand slam. The duration is important, current players are more important than the past at intro time. Too long and the emotion of the build up wavers. You want to attempt to strike fear into the oppo, not put them to sleep. So it's about the right music, some dressing room/prep footage perhaps and then the current players.... That isn't hard at all. I kinda work in marketing & I'm very confident I could do a far better job throwing something together in half a day than what I've seen in the past. Just need player pics, which isn't tough & then the correct track(s), which again isn't tough. Anyone here could reel off suitable tracks in no time, there was even a thread on it actually. As I said last years was probably the best I've seen, it had the right tempo & build up. But it was pretty poorly edited with awful timing between the player shots. This is basics of vid editing, if you can't get that right then jeez.... It's about more than that though. The quality of the screen isn't brilliant, it has clear resolution lag issues so you either upgrade it or create something inside it's limits. If you gave me an editing job the first thing I'd find out is what am I working with, what's its potential. That's a very basic requirement surely. Then I'd look at what other high end teams do, particularly in DEL1/2 where they have real passion & go from there. So some basic rules.... Not longer than 30 secs before players skate out, some retired jerseys & recent success, then the current players with face pics and a suitable 'building up' thumping track at the right decibel level. Simples.

I wouldnt call it 'cringeworthy' but its not the most rousing video ive seen.... More of a filler video to me than something to get you pumped up for the game.
The dubbed on chanting indicates the video maker probably knew this....

I like the idea of that video (ie. celebrating the past) however it wasnt great overall, for example the roar at the start sounded more like a toilet flushing. I dont want that as an intro video though, we could still have it however earlier in the build up then something more inspiring just before the players come out.
My personal favourite video so far was the first one i think we had, thats just me though.

God awful video, amateurish, dull and very uninspiring to say the least.
By far the best we have had was the season before last year.
The post match Corey interview was a complete waste of time too,may as well not bother if the best we can do is 37 seconds of basic obvious drivel with nothing interesting in it.

Your determination to derive no pleasure whatsoever from your involvement with the Panthers, and to announce it to the world via the internet, is unsurpassed. I'm sorry, but you are fast becoming a figure of mirth in my eyes.

Recall the video after we won the league, was a decent effort that got the emotion going with the year countdown.... We saw that one for about 3 weeks. They should have used that or at least have in cooperated the countdown bit for the following season. As I said earlier this isn't a difficult thing to get right if you give the job to the right people!!

I have merely stated my opinion Stef.
It seems to agree with pretty much everybody else who has commented too and I have commended the other video, that was very good,so why you pick on my post I don't know ?
Also, have listen to Corey's interview,I ask you .........37 seconds,is that really the best they could do,and half of that he's talking about what Cardiff did. It was the same with the player interviews when each one arrived,20 seconds of GM getting in the "xynomix plug" then the player says "yes it seems good so far"......then "click" oh was that it dohhhh and there was me expecting something of interest. Go and have a listen, they were a waste of time,if you are going to do something then do it right.
All I want is to see my team do things right and put every effort and resource into it,they are not doing that in my opinion on quite a few fronts so I make my points,if people don't agree that's up to them but this is a forum and everybody is entitled to their opinion.

I have merely stated my opinion Stef You're quite right, of course, and I was a bit out of order with my post. Sorry. However I think the team are putting every effort and resource into putting a successful team on the ice. It appears I am in the minority in liking the video: reminders that hockey started here nearly 70 years ago make my chest swell with pride. As for the Neilson interview, well yes, on the short side, but so many of these post-game interviews, especially with football managers, follow a standard pattern and you don't really learn much.

I liked that it looked back over our long history, but it still managed to be largely uninspiring. Think the first one we had was my favourite so far (this is #3 right?).
The chant bit sounded like it was recorded by a few fans in a pub, which it was. If you're going to do that, maybe record it at a Sheffield game? Perhaps they'll fix that after next weekend.
Glad Who Let The Dogs Out has been canned though, hats off to whoever did that.

The 'Rage Against The Machine' intro was easily the best and nothing has come close since.
I liked the new goal music though and thankfully it seems like much of the tired old crap has been cut from the playlist.
