Cardiff put the pressure on with a win over Blaze......58 points with Steelers now.
Too much of a rush to get this score up once in after work before dropping into bed.
As below I had it in League section in error. Sorted now.... PM me anyone if something noticed like this please.

Yes...a cross conference league win.But hey hang on.....we need to win that Erhardt league for a MAJOR title as I recall as we are told with the big Conference thingy anyway....so after THAT game on 7th versus Braehead it's all go in order to claim a prize of a self bought trophy. when we play three of the best in Belfast x2 , Sheffield and Cardiff.

No. Yeah I can't see either side winning out, given they have to play each other 3 times still I think? Up to the Gardiner conference to stop the Clan.

Cardiff win the Cup but fail massively away in Yorkshire going down in an 11 - 0 shut out for the better prize..Many penalties and a disaster of a third period. Steelers now on top of the table with 4 games to go.

At 46:31 Devils haven't taken a single penalty but have conceded 7 goals. Lord calls a time out, then it all goes crazy - what did he say at that time out?

Go out and goon it up as that's exactly what they did. Potential for 3 suspensions in that 14 minutes. Lord and his team had completely lost control of themselves.

Did they lose control, or was it a deliberate tactic/plan given that the points were lost at that point? If it was a tactic with a view to putting you off your game on Sunday it may well have back-fired given that you still went on to score 4 more goals, they didnt score any, and potentially they may have suspensions (none of the penalties were match penalties, so i'm hoping DOPS will leave that alone, but who knows!)

Roy and Dowd were on fire but it will be a lot more difficult down at the BBT I think *if* the Devils get their heads straight for the game.

That's it. Coventry went all the way.Bad start to the season but a great improved run in till the end for the Play-Off title.. Sheffield came out on top in the league pile but didn't manage to push for that grand slam of events losing the other two finals. Cardiff pulled out a great bit of play at times and secured the CUP. We know how we failed by going backwards .There's always next year. Here's comes summer. (Final stats for Panthers and will add scores and similar stats to the GB detail as a end to the season)

IHJUK AWARDS
Andrew Lord has capped a terrific rookie coaching season by picking up the Ice Hockey Journalists UK Award for Coach of The Year. Lord was promoted from within the ranks when Todd Kelman bought the Devils from previous owner Paul Ragan and the Cardiff club has excelled under the new regime. A Challenge Cup victory and marginally missing out on the League title been the catalyst for the crowds returning to the Big Blue Tent and Lord was delighted yet self-effacing to receive the plaudits. “It’s an amazing honour and I’m very proud of that,” he said. “Personally it’s a nice little feather in my cap but it shows as a whole what we have done down here, from Todd Kelman, the players, the fan base. It’s nice.”
Following in the skates of Dan Bakala, this season's Elite Player of the Year award goes to Sheffield Steelers' forward Mathieu Roy.
Elite League All-Star First Team Kyle Jones (Braehead Clan); Andrew Hotham (Cardiff Devils), Ben O'Connor (Sheffield Steelers); Mathieu Roy (Sheffield Steelers), Michael Forney (Sheffield Steelers), Joey Martin (Cardiff Devils)
IHJUK has selected its Best of British Awards for the 2014/15 season. They are: The Phil Drackett Memorial Award for British Netminder of the Year: Ben Bowns (Cardiff Devils) The Alan Weeks Trophy for British Defenceman of the Year: Ben O’Connor (Sheffield Steelers) British Forward of the Year: Robert Farmer (Nottingham Panthers) The Vic Batchelder Memorial Award for Young British U21s Player of the Year: Zach Sullivan (Braehead Clan)
