Surely not enough hockey fans though to support 2 teams?

If Hull isnt a possibility and they have the financial ability I cant see why they wouldnt look into starting a different franchise in another city?

Hull Stingrays with its current owner is not sustainable long term, there is unhappiness within the players, Cloutier has packed his bags and is off back to Canada It needs somebody with desire, ambition and passion for the team, the sport and the city and a long term vision for the future It needs somebody who will have the effect to bring the best players & coaches to Hull There is a need to increase revenue in to the club, by having a team that continuously goes out there and wins games you will get 'bums on seats' and the added value of what people will spend once they are inside the arena. Plus you will then get more businesses and sponsors on board The boards at the arena should be full of companies wishing to advertise/ sponsor the Stingrays very much in the same way Panthers/Steelers and other clubs are It makes me wonder how much money McEwan has got to spend; before the club is in financial problems again like it was a few years ago when Coventry took part ownership to steady things. The piece by Suderman - just shows the 'put up and shut up' mentality that McEwan has tried to instil within the squad, which does not make a happy squad Good luck to Cloutier, he has been a good servant to Hull over the years They have two rugby teams... There is a reason for the two rugby teams BigLadThe majority of the people to the east of the river Hull (hence the reason the city's official title is Kingston-upon-Hull )which divides the city support Hull KR and those to the west Hull FC

I don't know the full story and how the current owner is handling things but I know that a debate on the ownership/want of has been going on a bit. First thoughts is that this is a last attempt to draw fans away and hope that the present owner gives up and walks away himself. Am I right? With whoever in charge Hull are a difficult club to make a success surely. So perhaps the current owner needs a few more sat by his side now to add weight to its future and hold off interest by others. He owns the club so how can a new set up just come in and take his franchise away from him? (opps then again Belfast Giants history)....
