How odd. Unless he's nicked it you'd think they'd welcome getting full price.

Poor kid - bet he wishes he'd not been let in That aregument is totally flawed though, Im not a S/T holder but I assume they have T's and C's that say the ticket is for the S/T holder only? If the child is not the holder then by using it he is using a ticket paid for by someone else, what the club and arena will argue is that by using someone elses ticket he wont be buying a ticket from the box office which he would have to do if that S/T wasnt available to him. The child and woman are in the wrong here imo and the arena would have been well within their rights to refuse entry. I believe there is some health and safety/insurance/legal argument as well in case of an incident at the arena and you are wrongly identified because you are sitting in someone elses seat.

Or more likely, the child just wouldn't go and there'd be an empty seat for the game, since there's no way to return a season ticket seat for a particular game you can't attend. I think someone said earlier that STs are not marked as non-transferable.

The explanation given by the Supervisor was that he was fine to use the ticket as he was 'downgrading'. He was a child using an adult ticket. It's the 'upgrading' as alluded to earlier in the thread that they were clamping down on and rightly so.
Makes sense to me.

Yeah Im only expressing this from the possible viewpoint of the club/arena, I cant think of ANY other reason that they would check. I am a little surprised that theres nothing written on the S/T about it, my old Forest season tciket used to (not that they ever checked) and Im sure matchday Panthers tickets do or did have it on - I dont have one to hand right now.

No but on a walk up ticket Dave, say you go to the counter and buy 10 of them, who's getting in on the other 9, and which is specifically you etc?
Tom said earlier that his Dad has a bunch of STs through his company and he gets in on one of them, seems fine to me, provided the ST is at a level high enough to cover the person using it. Which appears to be what they're checking, and they appear to be finding people exploiting the system.
Sounds like in Ted's case it might just've been a yellow shirt getting it a bit wrong.

Basically, you can bring people through on higher priced tickets to their actual age group just not the other way round because of loss of profit. And checks are being carried out on all tickets but mainly season tickets because that's where the biggest problem is

Say I can't make a game, and pass it on to someone to attend in my place As long as they are in same age category

Yeah, I have a season ticket so if I work a game I give mine to someone else to use I was wrong then lol I assumed it would be a strict 'non transferable' policy like when I had a Forest season ticket.

As is seems to be a common practice to lend your ST to someone else. Theoretical question, if you have a child ST and they cant make it and the only one available is an adult can you offer to pay the difference?

I don't know but I imagine it would be up to the promoter (panthers management)

Why do season tickets have named and signature on then?

I don't know, names might be in case you lose it and someone hands it in? Most people don't bother signing them to be honest Plus, some sponsor tickets have the company name on which is difficult to check

I think it was the first year we had season tickets our kids had to have adult tickets as you couldn't get kids season tickets in the gold section. It was a long time back and I could be wrong.

It's not just the using of wrong tickets to get in to the arena , checks used to be made in the gold blocks as bronze/silver ticket holders moved into empty seats, but they don't seem to do anything about it now.
