Really? Last year was a classic JVR year, but with bits of improvement. Scored 10 goals in 20 to start the season and then only got 4 in the last 22 to end the season. That's streaky.
It's what you get with him, but if he manages to smooth that out then he's going to be one hell of a player. It's been a good trade on both sides, Schenn is providing just what we need too.

We're at that glorious time of the season where games face-off at 11pm now rather than midnight. Don't forget!

Watching the Flyers right now is like watching particularly boring paint dry.
1 goal for either team in the past 5 periods. We've only scored 1 in the past TEN.
Absolutely pathetic effort by anyone not called Steve Mason.

Stamkos gone for the season - worst news for us TB fans. Gutted doesn't come close

Disastrous for Tampa, can't replace a goal machine like him. Bad luck for the fella too, especially in Olympic year.

He is their offence. Tampa will have to do well to stay up there now.
EDIT: And how!

The second 3-1 reverse in as many games last night in Montreal. Absolutely zero offensive threat from the forwards, I dunno how they ever win, couldn't score in the proverbial.

Leafs a bit lucky to walk away with the win there but damn entertaining game tonight. Real play-off stuff.

If anyone has a spare hour, watch the Mike Modano shirt retirement from Dallas last night. It's incredible

Another big win for the Stars last night in the pursuit of the wildcard places. More than likely between us and the Mutts now with the Wild in the first wild card place still catachable. And considering the circumstances of 24 hours earlier and the fact the Blues are currently topping the standings, it was a huge win!

I didn't think we'd get close when you posted that Pies, but since we seem to actually have started scrapping for it. Still yours to lose with the games in hand though.

We've been dire the past 2 games. And it doesn't get any easier tonight. Losing Kari has taken all our momentum. It's good to see that, touch wood, one of us will make the playoffs this year. It's been a long time!

Could all come down to the last day at the Job, looking at the schedule.
Probably would get much change out of the Blues but better to be in it than not, finishing 9th gets you nothing, no playoffs and an average pick.

But neither team gambled their draft picks either so it's not a total disaster if we were to finish 9th

Its getting gritty. Mutts and the balls of gas are tied with 7 games to go for us and only 5 for the mutts. Hopefully we can pick 2 points up tonight to ease tensions. Though the wild have been dragged into this now

We clinched a play off spot for the 23rd consecutive season the other night, not bad for a team banged up with injuries all season and relying on a tonne of AHL players! Stunning

Oh I was sorry to rub it in but I don't feel bad. 5 years of meaningless hockey come April has become stagnant - finally I'll have some interest! Saying that, it was an achievement for us to get this far but we'll not win it. But our record against pacific teams this year is incredible so I doubt the ducks will want us and the last couple of games we've played against the blues, we've made them look average. Trading loui for Seguin worked out well for both parties and the "Bennguin" relationship has been fruitful. Both guys signed to multi year deals and with an AHL team who's been excellent this year, Texas hockey is on the rise!

Sorry to rub it in Yotes but We're going to the playoffs BABY!! Deserved Pies. We've had a ton of chances to overhaul you but our unimpressive collection of 3rd/4th line forwards isn't going to get anything done. Losing 2-zip to the Preds in what was pretty much do or die summed them up. Good luck for a decent run.

Plenty of Oilers fans would kill for that!

Habs looking like going 2 up against the Bruins, wouldn't have predicted that.
How did San Jose lose to the Queens from 3 up? Ridiculous.
