To me this is a excellent pick up at short notice and very lucky to have someone already over here of simular playing style to Werner, id even keep Smith once Eric is fit and run 4 import D a-men to that pidge.

Smith is staying in braehead . You may be right (there is a 50/50 chance) but without proof you are just guessing as much as anyone. Proof?

Unless Macias is fully fit, Clan would be mad to let Smith go, surely?
Kuznik, yes indeed. He'd be OK filling in....

Smith is staying in braehead . thought he was only there until Macias and Frank arrived. Frank is here now and Macias arrives today and that puts them at 11 imports excluding Smith unless I have missed something.

Kuznik announced his retirement this summer, besides he said he would only ever play for the Flyers in the UK

So they can't carry 12? Or will they make a change ? never said they couldn't carry 12, but when he was signed he was signed on a two week contract until the other players arrived. It would seem that you are apparently privy to the inner sanctum of the Clans management and player recruitment so I will take your word for it even tho you have yet to provide any evidence other than the usual use of the word Simple.

The Clan have just announced that Julian Corriveau has requested to leave the club... so they can keep Kenton Smith and still only be at 11 imports. <Braehead Announcement>

You have to argue that if he wasn't good enough for the Devils, should he be good enough for us?

You have to argue that if he wasn't good enough for the Devils, should he be good enough for us? It may be that he wasn't right for the devils rather than not good enough.

I would say that devils need more firepower so a d man had to go as adams can slot back in there . ross was the unlucky one.

You have to argue that if he wasn't good enough for the Devils, should he be good enough for us? Devils announcement suggests that they're releasing a D-man to bring in a forward - 'to kick start their team': 'Club Management have decided to act quickly and open up space in their roster to strengthen a Devils side that requires more quality in other areas. Devils Managing Director Brent Pope acknowledges that the club has depth and options at the defence position. "We are missing something in our line-up at the moment but have the depth in other areas. Unfortunately we need to make this move in order to kick start our team and whilst it is always difficult for any player we wish Adam the best of luck in his hockey future." linkDevils were carrying 5 import Dmen so if they felt they needed more firepower it was always going to be a Dman who left: and with Adams as Player coach taking one of those slots it was a one in four chance for the others - hence: Pope continued, "Professional sport can be a cruel business at times but equally we have a job to do to make this team work on the ice. We have a number of options lined up already and this quick move makes a statement about our intentions in Cardiff this season. We need to be better and we will make the appropriate moves within our budget to make this happen." So sounds more like a numbers game to me.....

Is there enough cottonwool in Nottingham though, PN? I felt sorry for Martin, but it'd be too risky for me with his injury record.
