Compared to many on here I am a relative newcomer as a fan
I am delighted for the long term panthers fans and its great to read through some of the posts highlighting highs and lows over the years
My signature used to question Corey's coaching abilities - not any more - I am pleased for Corey as much as anybody - a very classy guy from all I have seen of him

I've had an email from Paul Adey:
"Great news, well done!!! We had our team party last night so I must have been celebrating with you without even knowing it! Nice to hear from you, say hi to all, Paul"

Not long since got back home. I think I’m still trying to comprehend what we’ve just achieved.
I was taken to my first Panthers game when I was 8. I never thought for a moment in those early days that I’d be in my early 30s before I saw us win the league title – especially when we won at Wembley at the end of that first season. Eighteen years ago we came within a whisker of doing it and Ken Priestlay broke my heart. It was that – far more than 1956 – that has weighted on my mind over the years since. I think when Pat Galivan scored on Friday night I finally had my redemption. What a moment.
To Neil Black, Corey Neilson and the team and officials – thank you. This season has been wonderful and I’ll never forget it.
Just one more thing. The joy of Friday night was tinged with some sadness that my dad, granddad and great-grandma were not there to share it with us. All three were big Panthers fans and supporting this club has been all the poorer without them. I’ve been thinking of them a lot this weekend and will be again on Friday night. I’m sure they’ll be there in spirit along with all the other Panthers fans who are no longer with us.

I am still coming to terms with it, it will truly sink in on Friday, I have never wanted a Friday to come so quickly in my life. Retire the 77 is a must. He has come under so much criticism, especially with the Meyers situation and he has overcome it all to bring home the holy grail. This team has been an absolute pleasure to watch this season and for once did not crack under the pressure. Well done to all the team and to my fellow fans that have stuck through thick and thin. This was my tenth year of watching Panthers, more regularly in the last 6 years and we've done it! 1956 no more, soak it up Panthers fans!

Been waiting for this for a long while myself despite not really being a Panthers fan. Fell out of love for the game on many levels over the years but have recently been following scores and news for a few seasons even taking in a couple of games along the way. I'd love to go to the Cardiff game on Friday but feel that I shouldn't deny someone who's been more loyal the last few years the opportunity for what will be an obvious sell out.
Would like to congratulate the team and the guys who I have known personally over the years both on and off the ice, having played as a kid with some of them.
Great turn out in Belfast from the Panthers fans. 600 or so travelling? There's probably been some league games this season with lower attendances that that.

As a Giant's fan I just want to say congratulations. You're team has been the best and most consistent all season. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did last year. Hoping we can still win the playoffs.

Here are the last couple of minutes of the game from the Panthers block.
Apologies for.....
My terrible 'shaky-cam' My terrible singing A couple of wee-swearies (at 1.15 to 1.25 ish, turn the sound down for a few seconds if listening with little ones)
All these were a direct result of the 12 pints I had consumed during the preceding hours :-)
What a night!! Still trying to prise the smile off my face.

Times like this I remember my papa who was the only reason my family on my mums side ever got into Ice Hockey, it was brought to my attention that he might have been at the truimph in '56 and a little under 9 years without him, we've done it again. I know he would have been proud of this time if he could see it, just a shame that he couldn't!
I so regret not being able to afford the weekend back when the fixtures came out now due to funds, oh dear oh dear oh dear.

Awesome, just awesome. How I wish I could go back in time and relive those last moments. I'm still in Belfast, dont come home till tomorrow, one last day of Keefes stag weekend. Possibly been the best stag doo I've ever been on. How you managed to film that stuff is beyond me, I was in bits.

I have had to rewatch the highlights since getting back as the game on Friday seems like a blur - partly due to drink and partly due to pure excitment!
Congratulations to the whole team - so proud!
Also have to say what a lovely bunch of guys they all are - so friendly towards all the fans the whole weekend, chatting away to everyone in the rockies and the hotel and posing for pictures - top guys!

Kwall looked uncomfortable , not a fan of fan situations was the impression I got. I don't think he smiled all night.

I would just like to re-iterate my thanks to Corey inparticular.
He essentially retired himself without any warning, fuss or comment and that for me was the defining moment of the season!
