Showed a complete lack of respect for their fans who had paid a lot of money and followed them all season. The players should be ashamed of themselves.

Anyone else think it just a little embarrassing how overboard the Steeler fans went chanting for Belfast? That's what made it even better lol Plus the fact their failure ex coach spent his last game with them peeping through our plexy last week with that idiot Simms. Classic lol

One Steelers fan goes a little too far with a banner. We chanted We're the Nottingham Panthers to which he put "your the nottingham w***ers". Shouldn't that be " you're the Nottingham w***ers"?

It should be, but as they couldn't spell winners correctly, we'll let them off. note the winker at the end.

Funny moment for me was when your lot started chanting 'stand up if you've won the league' So, naturally, Steelers, Blaze and Giants all stood up! Haha, quality.
As for chanting/supporting others, I think we both suffer in this regard don't we? When either of us isn't their we get grief, and when we are there we get the rest of the building backing the opposition.
This comes with dominance and success, you lot better get used to it.....

"We have won again. That is good! But what is best in life?" "To crush your enemies, see them driven before you, and to hear the lamentation of the Steelers!" "That is good."

sorry to say once again that its not a grand slam, no matter how you hard you try to convince people Panthers completed a superb treble by adding the Play-Off title to the League and Challenge Cup successes ........ this taken directly from the Elite site "People going on about a grand slam, I've got a trophy in Belfast says different." Doug Christiansen
This in response to Panthers GM Gary Moran proclaiming a grand slam over the arena PA after the trophy presentations....... taken from British Ice Hockey site seems others are in agreement this isn't sour grapes (before the usual suspects start) you won those THREE trophies....we won the other

I don't think people care if its a grand slam or not. Well I don't.
We have three trophies that no other team in the league has this season and that's all I care about. Giants can dribble over that conference title all they want.

Wow.. not been out of bed long still minus my voice , mostly down to berating Darnell ... but enough of that .
What a special team we ve been blessed with this year. It was perfectly balanced thoughout, no weaknesses whatsoever .
I feel we could be about to travel into a bit of a period of dominance now , Corey now knows what it takes and what players are required to win .
Not to say we ve not done too bad already over the last 3 seasons ;D

A Grand Slam without going bust! Doesn't that just mean that you have far too much money for a British hockey team? (he says with tongue in cheek before it provokes a reaction! ) From a neutral perspective it was a great game from both teams, really enjoyed it, although I would have loved us to be in the final, I think it was good that the two top teams in the country were there at the end. Congratulations on another trophy and your Treble/Grandslam whatever you are choosing to call it doesn't really matter, you are definitely the team to chase next year PS...... Claire, Just get over it dry your eyes and let the Panthers enjoy celebrating what has been a totally dominant season!

Hi y'all,
Not posted on here since God was in nappies, but HAD to say a huge congratulations to the team on an outstanding year. We've been following the results for the last few years, but this year is just amazing. Corey obviously has what it takes to get the best from the team (even better since he stopped playing too? Seems that way)
And to all you lucky so and so's that still get to see the lads - ENJOY!!!
Makes me wish we were still in the UK... almost!
Still bleeding black and gold... :-))

Was more entertaining that the hammering the England kids used to give Scotland every year.

Was more entertaining that the hammering the England kids used to give Scotland every year. Disagree. At least the Scottish lads tried the hearts out, unlike both teams in the booby-prize game yesterday. Utter disgrace... the only people who came out of that with any credit were the fans of Cardiff & Coventry - the only people who seemed to give a damn. EIHL - this 3rd/4th game was a mistake and a farce the first time you did it, why didn't you learn? Bring back the England/Scotland game. Bring back the pee-wees. Bring back some proper entertainment.

Here is my take on this farce or need to belittle our achievement for some sort of spite perhaps.
As the conferences didn't exist before this season we won the grand slam in its old and original format, now if you need another trophy does that make it harder now, and if people believe this does that mean winning it before was a lesser achievement and on par with what we did this season!
As for Doug having a trophy did he buy it himself because Braehead had to buy their own trophy?

Before the B+H Autumn Cup finished but as the Challenge Cup started we thus had FOUR tournaments running. AYR won all of these and if they had not won one of the Cups mentioned, would everyone be debating that it was not a grand slam...I hope not. They won all three domestics and an extra which was great but by winning league.PO and a Cup it would have been a slam but ended up a slam +1 tournament. This happened because those that organise hockey have no common sense.

Some tweets from Thomo "Paul Thompson @thommoblaze 6h A friend of mine who coaches in Germany yesterday told me the final was as good as the DEL in quality.. Big up for #EIHL" " Paul Thompson @thommoblaze 6h Around Europe at times the EIHL is judged more on salary than ability. Agent @gunnar56 says best kept secret in Europe.. Retweeted by David Simms " Obviously very good that this has attracted interest and is viewed in this light. However one is left wondering - if this is the case can Panthers keep their top players for next season?
