I have been dying to see the Panthers again and bought tickets for both days. If we are well down on imports I will be really hacked off. I am not there tonight at the open training session, but perhaps some could let the powers that be know their feelings afterwards - if GM fronts up. Unfortunately it might be the case that Panthers need to help players get their forms sorted out. There must be a copy of a successful visa application on file. I had a problem last year working abroard, which was my employer at fault. I had to retain his form and help him out!
Jordan Fox has been tweeting his frustration, but that should have been checked out ages ago.

Sounds like the Cardiff v Coventry 'friendly' was a cracker, hopefully this will be as entertaining.

Re: cooperphil -
I too don't understand fox and bennys troubles these should have been the first sorted surely ?. So for our imports we have Beckett and Galivan currently. GM mentioned who is coming soon, he said Tuma was sorted and graham I think, someone please correct me if wrong. Then he mentioned the others but he didn't give a time frame. Hopefully we have as many as possible here for the games .

It's like saying 'I'm late for work because the bus was late,' well get an earlier bus!
Weak excuse, it happens every year, poor administration!
I don't remember hearing of any Olympic athletes being forced to turn up late? Red herring. Of course you can chase up visa applications. Why does it always affect hockey so badly, yet rarely affects other sports? Is it something to do with the way this sport is run?
Surely after all these years we would have worked out where the problem lies and eliminated it? If panthers is such a well run business? Again they've let the paying fans down and they wanted this game on the season ticket lol!

So how do Sheffield manage it? Is the visa office still in Sheffield?

There will be 4 imports short at the weekend and the two arrivals today and tomorrow will be straight onto the ice on Sat/Sun, As said previously its funny how Sheffield have managed to get all their players in already and the two for us that signed months ago have only just sent their visa's in.. poor management on both the players and clubs part. On that basis I'm not wasting my money at the weekend.

Absolute joke.
Makes me wonder if this is wee bit of payback for the backlash they got over the Season Ticket farse.

Just for a change, it seems the Panthers have run things a little too close to the wire. Good job it's not a competitive game. But it will put people off going, so a bit self defeating if the object is to minimise wage costs?

I'm not going to bother trying to answer your questions as you seem intent on not looking anything up or wanting to know how the process works. As for your question 'I don't remember hearing of any Olympic athletes being forced to turn up late?' I couldn't really help but laugh. They make the athletes and officials their own own lanes causing mayhem to millions and millions of people and you don't think they are going to make exceptions for them? Once again if you did a bit of research you would of come across this - www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/aboutus/our-work/olympic-paralympic/games-family-member/

Bill, fair enough, your point is valid, however you also have to accept that the Panthers and the players have been far to relaxed about this, and its now impacting our pre season.

What you mean Bill, is that GM better hope we get a few more players in,or he's gonna look a right plonker having bigged up the "Italian job" when we get hammered by a team with a full roster. Then he may regret not doing his job by taking his eye off it to disappear on a months holiday to his French farmhouse at an important time, when he should have been chasing guys and their paperwork up. After all,he's only had most of the summer off,but then again, give it a week or so and we will all be reading in the match programme "how busy he's been" ! Our roster was signed ages ago apart from Tuma, they should all be here by now no argument, especially Fox and Benedict. If players got paid starting from when they got here then they would be here already ! If you landed a new job starting on the 1st Sept, would you go in by choice to start on the 15th of August knowing you wouldn't get paid for those first 2 weeks......er no and neither would most people ! So glad to see im not the only fan who can see the truth about how this club is run, there are a few on here becoming very tired of it now! Profit before Success every season. Shame you just get called negative and not a real fan for expressing your views.

There is no debating it is affecting our pre-season as 4 players are unlikely to be here for the games against Asiago. There isn't much we can do now though but hope the players get their visas ASAP. I reckon all the players will be here for the start of the season but even if we are still one or two then we should hopefully still be able to get through the challenge cup game at Hull and home game against Dundee unscaved. It is in no way an ideal way to start the season but I am sure it wont be the only time in the season where we have to battle through adversity

The question is - Was GM in a position at a crucial time to have his finger on the pulse and sorting out problems which might arise as a result of the visa situation. With new recuits it could have been a problem - those who have signed again not. Olympics and para olympics were scheduled for some time.

Negative, yes... but when you're constantly slagging off the club (and accusing fans of being "happy to accept mediocrity" if they don't slag off the club!) then that's a pretty fair comment... You may think that you "see the truth"... but that's just your opinion, and it's no more valid than anyone else's. Many will disagree with you... doesn't make them wrong.

It just seems to me Shaggy that most fans just accept how things are with the club. If more people expressed their opinions, the club would be forced to listen. Somebodys opinion has to be right Shaggy, im not saying its mine but opinions need to be acted upon for anything to change.

It will be very interesting to see how many of Belfasts squad are missing this weekend.
Because as of about 3-4 weeks ago Panthers had signed their whole team apart from Tuma, whereas up to that same point Belfast had only signed about 4 of their imports.
So,if these visa delays are in fact true we should see Belfast only ice about 4 imports plus their Brits in their first games.
Something however tells me that won't be the case though,i wonder why !

I'll bet diamonds that the club have managed to bank all the season ticket money with no delays.
Personally speaking the Panthers don't seem to be hitting the ground running. The double bloody double isn't a League Title so please stop ramming it down our throats. Banging on about it doesn't cover up sloppy administration.
I was going to attend at least one of this weekend's games but I'm not wasting good money to watch half a team.

To be fair Belfast could've signed all their guys in May and just released them later on.
