No chance of a London team imo. too big a risk and too pricey. Neil Black has openly said he would like a team playing in London by 2015, so never say never. We need a successful team in London, playing in a reasonable sized venue to get the national exposure our league needs. We need a venue in a decent location to maximise the radius that people can travel, the Arena that was used before was a nightmare to get to. I travel up from London each week to support the Panthers and the travel time from West London to the docklands Arena was almost the same. Wembley would be a fantastic venue, but the venue that was used to play Basketball in, during the Olympics, would be great, if an ice pad could be installed. However, I hear it will be deconstructed later this year which is a real shame.

Just did some research and the Copper Box, where they played Olympic Handball, with a capacity of 7000, will be the home of the London Lions Basketball team. It would be amazing if they could stick an ice plant in there and play Ice Hockey, that sort of capacity would be perfect to start with.

Elite Prospects has him signing in the EIHL. He is new to the league and country and he looks like a Hull type player. (No disrespect intended at all, BTW) 2+2=5.

Details about this on Wikipedia. Thanks for the info Leol, I wasn't aware of that. I just remember that Brazil had arranged to have it before London 2012 had even started, a bit odd that they've pulled out.

Robert Dowd has reportedly had offers from north america (presume ECHL/AHL) courtesy of Giants forum If this is true then he would be a fool to come back to the elite league. He has the potential and he really needs to give the echl/ahl a shot. Having 'x' amount of games in the ahl on your cv will create so many more opportunities.

Joan Rivers would be a better fit for Belfast

A couple more tweets. "Jamie Rivers @jamierivers08 3h Just to clear things up: it is not all about money.I've been waiting on @belfastgiants to contact me and now there is interest from panthers"
"Brock Wilson @wilsonb25 18m Looks like it's a package deal ..Where ever @jamierivers08 ends up it's me and @foxjordy going with him! #BackBaby #StirThePot #PackageDeal" -A bit joky really to take seriously. At 38 although "retired" playing should be an option - but if he is coaching in Central Hockey League, presumably coach at Belfast as said looks a better fit. It could all be a wind up as Foxy is joining in the conversation.
