Couple of rumours doing the rounds on Twitter that an EIHL club is looking at him for next season. He's scoring at just under .9 PPG in the AHL, and has had NHL time in 5 of the last 6 seasons... Did hear something that he may be considered as a replacement for Ling... www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=8955

Further education? He's reaching that stage in his career where that night be becoming a thought.

Could be personal circumstances. Where's his wife from? Education? Brushes with the local law? Maybe he's spent time with one of the EIHL coaches somewhere else and fancies his chances over here or as a stepping stone into Europe. Perhaps he feels he'll never be a full time NHL'er and can make near enough as much money seeing a bit of the world with a less gruelling schedule.

Maybe he fancies playing Sexy Neilson Hockey... Maybe he fancies playing in the biggest European rivalry

To be fair, aside from the points production (which was much lower), Steven Goertzen for Steelers was in a similar position. He's obviously a completely different type of player, but Goertzen actually had more regular NHL games and he still came here (on a Uni deal).
So it's not completely out of the question. If this guy does come to our league, it will be a great signing for whoever.
