Agreed. Though I know he can take the odd comment in good humour, it wouldn't be fair if everyone picked on the poor bloke Aw, you spoil sport Doughnut! ;D

I can air my bizarre and horrible collection of European game-worns every week just to annoy my mates! ;D
I'm sure those in Block 13 now have to wear sunglasses to repel some of the 'noisy' colours visible on these shirts!

Certainly met some great people through hockey and made some good friends.
As a game I can enjoy it either as a spectacle, as a partisan supporter or purely for the game itself.
Whilst I've not traveled much compared with many on here hockey has got me out and about a bit to places I've never otherwise have visited.

Ice hockey is partly the reason I started dating the guy who would eventually become my husband. I met him when he played in a jazz competition at a bar I was working at. We got talking, he told me he was Canadian, we started talking ice hockey he told me I reminded him of Don Cherry. To this day I'm not sure if that was a complement. ;D
I might moan at times but the Panthers have provided many happy memories with friends and family over the years and watching my nephew take to the sport with all the enthusiasm that I had at his age makes going to games all the more satisfying. If only he knew what he was letting himself in for. ;D

No ones 'picking' on Tex. Were 'using' him to 'lighten' the mood.
How many I wonder have met their partners through the hockey. Be careful it could also be a negative.lol.
Kim did you come round my house (then Clifton) to enquire about my book? It's the same damn story a gal had then when she was visiting a chap in Canada who was over here at one stage. Another positive, you can go out without worry as both go out together with the same interests.

Hockey is according to the advertising boards in the stadium 'the fastest sport in the world' and id be inclined to agree its certainly the most exciting. Its got everything for all tastes; nerdy stats & tactics, thuggish fights and end to end action. And i can drink beer when watching it in a nice pleasant stadium! Marvelous! If only the cheer leaders were older. Can't have that, even with a wink - it's a negative ;D Doughnut

After watching the Panthers, it makes my trips to Atlanta even more enjoyable Hmm not sure if this should one be allowed........... ;D Isn't it negative to the Panthers LucyYour call Lucy, but I see it as a positive. No matter how bad we are, I can drift off and think about the trips to see NHL hockey. Plus without getting hooked on UK hockey, I wouldn't have had trips over to the States.

I met my hockey family at Panthers - (Lucy, Pantherdad, USA-Panther, Scotgirl, ChrisE and runnerbean) and I love them all to bits.
I have so many proud memories from hockey about my dad and his friend (before they both got ill)
I have met some truly wonderful people whom I admire very very much (won't mention them all but a few who deserve a special mention - Jono72, Mark, Lisa (and the rest of the rink rush team) Rumpole and the family.
Hockey is something we do as a family, we go together and although we don't sit together, we still enjoy it together.

Well...
I've made many new friends all over the arena and all over the web.
It's thanks to ice hockey and in particular the Panthers that I got my degree.
I have ice hockey to thank for getting me my start in journalism.
Ice hockey really helps me get rid of all the ---- inside of me at the end of the week. I am not over negative, nor racist, nor sexist but nothing gets rid of all those bad moments of the week like a massive roar when we score.

Making new friends and seeing new places.
Remembering some of the games and trophies that we have won and the enjoyment that has bought me.
Being able to sit dressed in a Pink Panther outfit on the London Underground one rush hour on a Friday night a number of years ago without feeling stupid.
Re-arranging "The holiday inn welcomes the sheffield steelers supporters club" letters on a huge board outside the hotel at about 2.30 on a sunday morning without being spotted.
