Neil Black is a happy man tonight! How many more times do we have to play the Clan? They look like this new coach has improved them!

We're getting given chances by other teams to take advantage with unexpected losses - now is time to take advantage of those. One game, 2 points at a time.

Their new coach seems to have made a difference, wonder what he could do with a full set of imports?

Impressive, but we must continue to win our games, starting with four points this weekend.

Well done, Braehead - and thank-you!
And yet again, it's proven that even the top teams (and let's make no mistake, Belfast are definitely one such) can be beaten - even resoundingly beaten - by any other team on the night. Good. Good for the other teams, good for the league... and as far as tonight goes, very good for us.
But all this does is give us a small amount of breathing space... we have to make sure that we fight tooth and nail for every last point... because (to use this weekend as an example) neither Coventry nor Cardiff will be pushovers, and they are going to want the points just as much. We could quite as easily drop points ourselves.
But still - that's a damned fine result! ;D

Doug is making a complaint to EIHL - blaming officials - game should not have taken place as pitch was frozen

Haha
What is wrong with Giants home form, they seem to play better away. Too much pressure ?, I wouldnt have thought so =/

Hope Giants do get a dip in their home form as they have more home games left than away ones

This defeat is exactly what the Panthers would have done last year, the year before and the year before.

Like I posted a couple of weeks ago.Panthers don't have anything to worry this side of the Irish sea.The whole balance of our team hasn't been right from day 1.We've leaked goals from the get go and our coaching staff have pretty much ignored this fact, hoping our forwards would compenstate. It hasn't worked. We are being showed up and tonight we we're out played for 2 periods by a well drilled Braehead side with 3 players down.We evetually started to play in the 3rd but by then it was too late and we got what we deserved .

To be more exact the balance on our blue line ,we hav'nt had a blue line all year yeah we have Sandrock and Mason both strong offensive dman but not one strong defensive stay at home d man.Championship teams are built from the back.Seriously Doug you should know that. After 3 years Doug 1 good team from three.2 not so good teams

As much as I would like to agree with you about not having anything to worry about from Belfast... I can't. We're simply not far enough ahead of Belfast (or Sheffield!) to even think about getting comfortable. Whilst this season's Panthers team definitely has more character and resilience than previous incarnations - we've won some games that in previous seasons we probably would have lost - there are no guaranteed wins. All it will take is for us to lose just a little bit of focus and we could get overtaken in no time. That being said, Belfast certainly do seem to be weaker at the back than in previous seasons... Braehead getting 2 short-handed goals last night (even if one was an empty-netter) must be a bit of a cringe for the Giants. Good one Braehead, and thank-you for the assist. But the fat lady isn't even in the building yet... it's still too close to call.

In one way i.e the league, it is good, but in the conference its still neck and neck. However the Doug style of play can catch you out, as we saw, but there is an air of predictability about it. Having said that it should be possible for Corey and Rick to come up with something for THAT weekend. Belfast are also perhaps suited to counterattack, which we got sucked into at home. This weekend as seems to be many weekends is another big one, but with the conference system pressure will bear on teams and those who withstand it will come out on top. As good a player Kestanovic is, it also offers some early justification of the action to sideline him with regard to a coaching role at Braehead.
