Hi All, Myself, son and dad are Invicta Dynamos fans, as a treat we are coming up from Kent to watch the Panthers (who we will be shouting for of course!) play Blaze on Saturday, I was wondering where the nearest/best car park is? Thanks in advance, really looking forward to the game!

Stoney Street NCP, or Fletcher Gate are probably the easiest two, they're just up the road from the arena. There's quite a few though. This opens a PDF from Nottingham City Council that shows the arena and the various car parks around it: www.nottinghamcity.gov.uk/CHttpHandler.ashx?id=7240&p=0(Arena @ I10, Stoney is icon P9, Fletch is P3).

Metro car park : The Glasshouse Union Road Nottingham NG3 1FG
Show your game ticket at the car park office after the game and it will only be £2 for the parking. Plus its very secure and attended by staff.

That's where I park actually (got the pass thingy), it's a bit more of a walk to the Arena though.

You can usually find free street car parking just up the road from the NIC, bus depot side about the same distance as the two carparks.
I would advise against Stoney street car park as it is pretty expensive, fletcher gate car park is right behind it and a fair bit cheaper, plus I think you can pay up front to avoid the rush to pay for you ticket after the game.

Plus its very secure and attended by staff. The Glasshouse Union Road Nottingham NG3 1FG Come down the A60, Huntingdon Street. Turn left at Aldi in to Union Road. Follow the road to the end (it turns right), the car park entrance is on the left You can pay before you leave the Metro ( it's £2.00 two hours before face off time, this saves you waiting around and can drive straight out as your ticket is pre paid and just have to insert it in to the machine at the exit. The "free" street is on back streets if you know them, but it's not that safe. If you use the pay & display street parking, you will have to pay up to 8.00pm and it's not cheap and a bit confusing to work out how much you have to pay before you leave.

Fletcher gate is now called the Lace Market car park. If you pre pay at the machine when you park your car then it will cost you £6. It is a 4-5 minute walk to the arena from there, best thing is to follow the Panthers fans, easy car park to get in and out of and very secure

Thanks for your help guys Any advice on somewhere good close to the arena to eat? I hope the snow that is forecast is not too bad, but seeing as the tickets and hotel are booked we're coming anyway....could be an interesting journey! ;D

Really depends what you fancy. Pizza Express in Hockley do 2 for 1 on Pizzas if you have a game ticket.

Just a pointer that there isn't lots of free parking just up the road from the NIC. Meters charge a £1 from 6-8pm now. Not a lot I know but in the dark you can't always read the information on the meters! The one we use only lights up when you put your money in! Those t/wardens get everywhere!

Which hotel? Might affect your parking fee if you have to be in overnight. Doesn't the hotel have parking?

Pizza express gets busy/full on game days because if the offer. Piccolinos is next to Fletcher Gate car park and much better quality.

Well, I bet you enjoyed your night! Awesome! we had a great night. I wish we had an arena like that, The Dynamos home (Gillingham Ice Bowl) is awful. You sit there and freeze your N**ts off! Went to Fletcher Gate car park and got stung for £9 as we got there at 4.30pm, only £6 after 5pm Doh! It was a higher scoring game that I expected? I thought Hirsch did very well to keep Blaze in the game for the first 2 periods, Blaze fell apart in the 3rd though with the Panthers being to much for them to deal with....great stuff! Will be visiting again for sure, probably in the autumn, maybe be sooner we'll see....... Hope you all appreciate what a great team and Venue you have, we're off to the Ice bowl tonight to shiver and see the Dynamos take on Chelmsford Chieftans, fingers crossed we'll take 2 points ;D Have a great rest of the season and I hope Panthers come out on top
