Glad my season ticket money is being well spent. Great signing for the clan, horrific for Panthers, unless they are going to feed him to us in a couple of years? Why horrific? 21 year old brit becomes available and we let him go to our B team. bet we didn't even make him an offer. Come back in 5 years when hes scoring a hat trick against us for the steelers. and we're icing a 40 year old david clarke.

He wouldn't come to us under Corey. Been said on many occasions from the horses mouth (and his mum!). Shame, cos he's a local lad. Maybe next season?

At least he hasn't gone to a southern conference team.
Given how desperate Coventry are for decent Brits I can only assume it is lack of funds preventing them taking up the second year option of his contract.

We have 6 quality import forwards and 4 GB internationals. Assuming we're playing 3 lines, where would Farmer fit? Who would we release? Clan, on the other hand, with the greatest of respect to their Brits, have a large vacancy for such a player, who adds massively to their team. Panthers cannot sign all the Brits in the league. You do get that, don't you?

You do get that, don't you? That made me chuckle mate, you guys have a great Brit roster. And for the record no Panther season ticket holder pays for our players but would definitely appreciate if you would send us your game ticket money. Back to Farmer a great signing for us to give us the added depth we have lacked the last couple of seasons, now we have ten forwards who will ice plus young Fulton on 2 way with Solway. With still one import defender to sign when coach finds the right guy if it's not Wedderburn returning due to personal issues. Maybe that's what coach is holding out for before moving on to new signing. As Krestonavich did say in interview we would be going with 11 imports.

If we'd have signed Farmer we could've rolled 4 lines. 4th being Farmer, Levers, Ward.
I agree with PDM tbh. Gloves on he's a very very good signing.

Without proof your statement is no more fact than those made by folk who claim Braehead Clan are living in Nottingham's picket.

James nothing comes from Panthers budget, we are owned by same owner not by Panthers Once again, a statement but no supporting proof. Can you not see that simply offering an alternative opinion doesn't make it anymore correct and neither does repeating said opinion without reinforcing it?

And you know that Panthers ST money goes to Braehead.? I haven't made any statement relating to the funding of Braehead either way, I have nothing to answer to. Which doesn't preclude Panthers season ticket money (or other Panthers generated income) being used to help fund Braehead, unless you have proof to the contrary?

not just the same company same majority shareholder in Neil Black...
And lets be honest can braehead support themselves with the sponsorship and fanbase with the roster they have signed? i for one dont know but i do suspect that they are being subsidised from somewhere...

I never said the Blacks have never put money in. The club averages over 2000 at games. But do you honestly think of funds coming out of Panthers. But back on topic, Farmer is a added bonus to our roster giving us depth that we haven't had in previous two seasons.

Ok, IMO Aladdin management make a massive profit on the panthers, then they also make a loss on Breahead. Do you prefer it worded that way? Don't be bitter clan fans, you should be laughing at us. If Breahead ar independent, that's even worse news for panthers fans as if they can afford their team with their resources an we're on a budget it's even more of a joke.
Back to farmer, he would fi anywhere, rotate him in, run a squad, give ourselves options, also a class Brit for the future, a finished product, I'd rather that than give a standing o to a 16 who manges to complete a pass. Why can't we sign all the Brits? It would give us a massive advantage?
Farmer wont join us? Poppy cockerel, the kid was off to borat land at the sight of a few £££'s lol!

Profits are recorded facts, you don't need opinions. Anyone got the latest Panthers/Clan accounts from Companies House?
Bad news is, even if you had, they'll tell you next to nothing of any "interest". So you need an insider willing to impart commercial sensitive information on a public forum to have anything other than pure unfounded speculation on this topic. Can't see that happening.
And "Why can't we sign all the Brits?". I'll leave that for you to work out.

Not all of them, just the best 10 and farmer falls into that. So, 10 best Brits playing for Panthers, 10 NHL imports (as I assume you'd want) and all would be well in UK hockey. To be fair, I think we already have 6 of the best Brits. Don't be greedy. And have you ever thought that Farmer may not actually want to play for us? Ashley Tait hasn't for years, due to somewhat of a difference of opinion a decade or so ago, if rumour be believed.

Not everyone will back down on their personal morals for some money. The Taits certainly won't and I think Farmer falls in that same mould

Yet he took more money at Braehead rather than go back to Coventry? I'm talking about Nottingham. He's no issues with other clubs from what I've been told just something to do with his time playing here as a youth!
