As for the Dan Green thing... dear oh dear, will some of you get a grip? why exactly do i ( i assume you mean me) need to get a grip... the comment was partly tounge in cheek, however at the same time, i am quite serious that if i find out Dan green is starting in nets for any of the games i won't be buying a ticket as i don't want to pay out good money to see reserves. i want to see the proper team. its a personal choice.

Will be good to see something a bit different, and they seem to have been sensible with the pricing so should hopefully get a decent turn out on both days.
Nice to see the jack of all trades Aladdin Cup put to yet another use, just hope they don't take it back to Italy with them, we'll need it in the future.

Your right it isa personal choice. Am i right to think then that if Kwall gets injured in a game and green takes over you will be making aquick dash for the exit weather we are winning or not?

Manny Legacy is rumoured to be signing for Asiago this year so there will be at least one well known player to most hockey fans

Dear Clan, can we have 'our' Cup back that we lost.As we want to play somebody else?
If there are two cups....I am confused.

Surely, Sam Gospel would be as likely a starter in one these games rather than Dan Green, far more useful in terms of experience.

Thnk some people are over-reacting badly here... nowhere is it said that the Saturday game will replace any game already announced as being on the season ticket (26 home regular-season games & 1 play-offs game). In all likelihood, this is a freebie extra - which would make sense (encourage people to come along to an extra game) and is not without precedent... the Panthers have given 'free' games on the ST in previous seasons. Now if they do come out and announce that this game is the 27th ST game, replacing the previously-announced play-offs game, then by all means - take aim at the Panthers and fire the cannon! (I'll be doing the same, being an ST holder myself). But as it stands, that's not how it looks... As for the Dan Green thing... dear oh dear, will some of you get a grip? Judging by this The first game on Saturday September 1st WILL be included on the season ticket (27th game alongside league fixtures) and there will be a discount of £3 across the board for season ticket holders for the Sunday.Load, aim & fire

Where have you found that text about the 27th game? I can't find it on the OS.
I have emailed the Panthers office to ask exactly which games are included on the ST and will update on here when I get a response

It will be "load, aim and fire" when they announce that the play off quarter final isn't on the season ticket anymore because they've realised they will get a bigger crowd for it than they will against Asiago ! Having said that,i think they have done very well to get Asiago over and it should be pretty good, providing they take and play it seriously.

It's the penultimate paragraph on the announcement Thanks. I was looking at the article on the iPhone app which has different text. I've seen it on the website now. I wish I hadn't booked a family holiday over that weekend after waiting for the fixtures to come out.

According to this it was going to be the cup 1/4 final included on the ST.... www.panthers.co.uk/modules/News/ViewNewsItem.asp?ID=2541Another season ticket holder who won't be about for the pre season games as I booked to do something once the fixtures came out, expecting the first home game on it to be the weekend after!

Don't think you ever let us take the cup home with us in the first place so presume you still have it!! As someone else said earlier, hope the Italians don't take it home with them....what will you do next time you need a cup for some competition or other?

Should be a good test and some interesting games anyway. When comparing 2011/2012 rosters Asiago's had almost 3 times the amount of AHL games to ours.

Did the Clan win it off Geneve Servette ? They were the holders,..(and I use the term loosely) before the 20/20 thing. The Aladdin cup is a token trophy rolled out to be played for in various formats and challenge matches by Neil Black. It's meaningless ,. You may as well play for a box of Curly Wurlys. As for "us" not allowing The Clan to take the trophy home,. I think that may well have been Mr Blacks decision as its his trophy, not Nottinghams,... and he is "You" as well as "Us" So in affect, The Clans owner didn't allow them to take his trophy back home.
