Right before anyone attacks me for this. This is a rumour I have heard and want to know if anyone thinks there is any thing to it. I state I do not know if this is true.
Supposedly Sami went into talks with Corey last week and was told that he is not part of the plan and will not be needed.
And Brock Wilson is very unhappy with coreys attitude and with him getting rid of Danny. For these reasons he won't be back.
From what I have heard the Brock rumour comes from brocks dad and the other from Sami himself.
Anyone heard anything similar

You may be right about Sami not returning, apparently he put on his facebook page that Corey didn't want him back..... As for Wilson, I haven't heard anything either way.

Well I liked Brock but I think he is replaceable there are a lot of import out there at the same level as him. But I would like to think if he is not coming back then we are spending a little and going for an upgrade.
Sami on the other hand I thought was great for us and I think next season he could have been even better. He is the type of consistent point scorer and hard worker that you need to win the league. Plus he seemed like a great bloke

Looks like Sami has confirmed it on facebook. All he says is that Corey really does not want him back

If we want to win the league we need a better team than last season, and for me both Brock and Sami are players that are easier to upgrade than the likes of DAB, Benny and Francis.
Also if it is true that Brock doesnt want to return because of Danny then im glad he isnt coming back.
At the end of the day the players play for the panthers and corey neilson, not Danny Meyers.
If you dont like the way the team is being built then you shouldnt be in the team.
Hopefully then brock will sign for the steelers because he was one of our worst dmen last season.

@garethchalmers: Read comments today re Sami Ryhanen returning to @gmbpanthers, he definitely hasnt been told that he isn't wanted by Corey. Still an option. Just seen this on twitter

i was undecided on Brock but if the rumours are true and he cares more about Meyers than this team/club then let him go

Brock Wilson is very unhappy with coreys attitude and with him getting rid of Danny. For these reasons he won't be back. This doesnt make any sense to me. The club handled the release of Danny in a professional mannor. Danny, although not happy about leaving, said as much himself. So how has Wilson come to this conclusion?? Also if thats the case, how come Fox is happy to sign for another year??

Shane sammi is gone , I rated the guy .
The guy we should be signing no question is Benedict . If he's not signed I'll be bitterly disappointed

What a load of cobblers, the players dont play for Danny Meyers, Id have thought if anyone wasn't going to return because Danny isnt back it would have been Jordan who went on record to say Danny was the best captain he had ever played for... again it hasnt stopped him from coming back, At the end of the day its a job, if every player went round saying I'm not coming unless so and so is there, then non of them would have job. If we go on everything that is posted on Facebook etc then why had Brock Wilson today changed his location from Nottingham back to Missouri but left his place of work as Nottingham Panthers? I guess we'll find out sooner or later.

I think bene is one if not the hardest working player in the team , we'd be stupid not to sign him up .

Just my opinion and I am well aware that I am in a minority on here but I'm not all that fussed about Benedict. I think he is a very decent player and I do like his work rate. However, to score at less than a PPG on the top line is not very impressive especially when you look at his ECHL stats. For me he is one of the import forwards I would be looking to upgrade on. If we go with 5 import forwards I would say. Keep FOX DAB Francis Replace / Upgrade Benedict Ryhanen

i agree with FTM, Benedict was good, and you can't fault his work ethic but to me he was no better than Bergin, in fact at least Bergin fought when needed.

Comparing Benedict with Bergin is like comparing chalk with cheese! Loved Bergie's commitment and heart, but couldn't hold a candle to Benedict IMHO.

Keep FOX DAB Francis Replace / Upgrade Benedict Ryhanen I think we all know that if we are to get this so called league winning team, one or two will have to go so we can bring the better players in and looking at that list ftm, I think you might have it right, though i'm not so sure about DAB, purely based on whether he sees fit that he's got another season in him or not.

I think it's called an opinion Bill. Clearly one that differs from yours. Are you always so aggressive? As previously stated I do rate Benedict just think we could upgrade. On the matter or Bergin and Benedict. One of them had a season where they went at over a point per game for the Panthers....

Now its sure that I am not coming back next season. Team have signed all imports. So I wanted to say thank you all for the great support I have got from everyone and also wanted to tell u guys that I really wanted to come back and play in front of best fans I have ever had. I will never forget u. I hope everyone has a great summer. For me it's time to try to find a new team...

Sarcasm does not really work in text Bill. I'm sure you knew that already though... Very interesting that Ryhanen says all imports are already signed. Maybe it is true. Maybe it's not true and the club just told him that as it's nicer than saying we don't want you back because we think we can get someone better.
