There's a rumour that didiot has been released, maybe he can try and terrorise junior hockey or something

All I can say is that they've certainly been following in that sequence so far.

If we could entice somebody like this guy to play in 1 of the last 2 forward roles and have an out and out sniper to replace Beauregard (Derlago hopefully) then i reckon the forwards would be something to be reckoned with www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=15889Good call Gilly. I was having a quick look last week to alternatives to Bootland. Chaz Johnson would be a good one. Also looked at Steve Crampton, Jim McKenzie, Derek Couture and Jesse Gimblett. Gimblett was on the radar back in June but it does not look like he has played any pro hockey this year.

He does look pretty good to be fair and would not have minded him signing for us at the start of the season. At this point though I think I would rather have Wilson though. Looking forward to seeing Wilson in action. Hopefully this weekend.

If he can get here in time for the Belfast game that would be a massive boost. As for Shields - can only see him going one way and that's back to Belfast. Assuming he left on amicable terms and there was no fall out with Big Doug and/or Kelman?

But would Shuff let him join Giants ? I hope not.

There's talk that Braehead are after Shields, they need all the help they can get right now so wouldn't be a shock to see him sign for them.
Simmsey seems to think there would be movement in 3 countries today, anyone called Braehead replacing Zemlak yet? Another move I wouldn't be surprised to see after Krestanovich threw him under the bus on the Sky show!

But would Shuff let him join Giants ? I hope not. You never know with everyone's favourite dysfunctional hockey team, they may do one of those "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" things. Given that Mr Tacky Jerseys has stated that the Challenge Cup is his main goal this season perhaps he is willing to let a good player go to a rival who they are unlikely to meet in the CC until the final. 'Anyone but Panthers' is gospel in the ropey end of Yorkshire.

We're all waiting for Wilson, I hope to god he matches everyone's expectations even though he's hardly played any games, is surely not match fit, and has to adapt to a new league and new style of play and our crap refs. Could take him a month to settle in.

Could take him a month to settle in. I'm not worried. Good players do well. Look at the impact Bis has had in Cardiff. It's not like we play 2 line hockey so I'm sure Wilson will have every chance to hit the ground running. He has been playing and training properly unlike Gimblett who could well be out of shape.

Zemlak leaving Braehead wouldn't be a shock though. And I'm sure the Flyers fans are loving that!!
Maybe 2 out 2 in at Clan?

Decent rumour or speculative? I can't imagine many Steelers fans would be happy if he were their next recruit.

Are they short of an import still? I don't believe so. (Checks EP) There are eleven imports signed to Sheffield. Of course nothing to stop them carrying a spare.

Yeah they could, seeing as they'll have Shields' money (and the 50-50 of course).
He looks the kinda guy we sign on the quick when things are going pear shaped (Golicic/Liscak).

If the giants are going to sign anyone I hope its a solid Dman as our defence is very lightweight once sandrock is back get rid of roberts waste of an import slot in my opinion.

Steelers have put out an add on 9management. Times must be bad if they have no one lined up. The longer the better for us I suppose.

The longer the better for us I suppose. ;D As much as I enjoy kicking Steelers when they are down I don't think it has been confirmed as being from Steelers, it could be from Braehead or any number of other EIHL teams. The mental image of Finnerty and Co scrabbling around for a Plan B after one of their two remaining PPG players walked out the door is quite amusing though.
