Perhaps 'enforcer' is one of those folk who commentate the Belfast live feeds? They are equally pretty comical with regards their hockey knowledge and also struggle with Lepine's name too.

Not as much as they do with the incredibly complex "Lachowicz" and "Ryhanen"
I was going to attempt to spell, phonetically, their pronunciations but I just can't. It's too hard!!!!

I said before the Devils semi final games that as long as we win the league/cup double up game then i was happy with that. As i would much rather win the league title.... C.C Cup & even the play-off mean a lot less than a league championship, and the Giants have not won a league title since the Theo season, so it means a lot more to the fans to win the league this year..
We are a physical team this season but there's nothing wrong with that, and at times can be dirty, which i like to see as it adds a bit of fire and emotion to the game.. and at the end of the day Panthers have a few players that should do something about it if it really was that bad..

I think they may well have done so last night O'Neill if it wasn't for Doug benching Lloyd and not letting him take part in handshakes

Do either side really want suspensions for the quarter finals/semi finals? Lets hope we meet again in the final.

Congrats on winning the CC/LDV/Zenith Data or whatever cup it is again. Cause for a civic reception and bus tour no doubt. The rest of us will be watching the possible title deciders at weekend....perhaps in another 56/57 years you will do. After your filthy display at the O in game one its all a bit rich. Lapine was shamefull. Your not known as the durty Panthers for nothing. Now if you want to mix it up again at the O in final game thats fine, im sure the Hoff and Keefe will oblige you. However from past experience I would expect that several of you will jump a guy with his back to you after the final whistle as thats your style. Play nicely children. Saying quite a lot for one purporting to be not bothered about the Challenge Cup. Despite the Panthers not winning the league for some time take a look at ours and Belfast's respective trophy count.
It might make you cry.
If you can't be bothered it's Belfast 6, Nottingham 17. No disputing the number of trophy you have won, (Giants 6 trophys in 12 years, Panthers 17 in 66 years) but lets just count the years the Giants have been in exsistance. Since 2000 Giants have won 1 Challenge Cup, 1 Knock-Out Cup, 2 Play-Offs and 2 League titles (hopefully a third to come this year) Panthers have won 2 Play-Offs and 5 Challenge Cups So we have another 54 years to catch up to your total eh.....thats almost as long as you have been waiting since your last League title ;D

Constantly mentioning 1956 (which quickly goes from banter to trolling btw Claret, I think you've used your quota now) isn't my idea of being a good loser.

The report on East Midlands today was a bit rubbish. Sound issues and it amazed me at how much Matthew Myers resembled Danny Meyers. Numpties.

Congratulations, can't argue against the achievement with the scoreline being what it was. I was surprised by the local news starting with the football rather than the trophy celebrations, what do you have to do to get prime billing?

Away in NZ at the moment so cannot comment on the game. However I will revisit this one -- Many rubbished the signing of Sami before he had any ice time. I was impressed with his use of the puck when I watched earlier matches and from reports on here he has got better and better, which one would expect as he setlled in. See him next season? Hope so.

Well that was a thoroughly amusing read...
It's already been said but I do find it thoroughly amusing that Giants, Steelers and Blaze fans have all come out to troll, be it on here, Twitter or whatever which such things as 'mickey mouse cup' etc. So my question is, should any of those teams have won the CC, what would their fans have done? Sat in their seats still? Left the Arena? Booed?
It just goes to show how much focus we as a club are set up though, we didnt see that level or performace from Panthers in many league games this year, come the CC though we are convincingly better than Belfast, who are top of the league.
Food for thought...

Well as far as Belfast goes that was 10-4 over and out guys. Some of the stuff on the ice last night was brutal, but frankly after the first 12 minutes all Belfast could do was try to regain some pride by roughing it up. As for main billing on the news not likely with the Derby- Forest game also on!

As for main billing on the news not likely with the Derby- Forest game also on! It wasn't that we weren't the top sport story, it's that the quality was so poor. If it's available on the iPlayer then take a look and you'll know what I mean.

I was explaining the Lloyd stick-Wilson gonads coincidence to a work colleague today.
'Wasn't he wearing a box?', she asked, to which another colleague replied, 'If he wasn't, he's probably carrying them around in one now'.
;D

Great win! great team effort, shows just how good we can be when we cut out the one out hockey and play as a well organised unit. Why do we slump at xmas, then peak at cup final and play offs??? who knows, is it to secure jobs for next season??
We should be winning the league, esp when you look at how poor the top teams are this season. take Hoffman and Mason out of the giants team and they have nothing. Yeah we should be competing for the league, but it is wrong to take anything away from the team for the cup win, they know already.
LLoyd, wow, a poor mans, less classy version of Finnerty, with half the tallent, Doug rightly ashamed, if the league had a pair he'd sit 5 games at least.... so no ban then.
Keefe? what does he bring to the giants? not very tough, can't beat jurynec, slow and low skill, how was he in the AHL???
Clarke, how did he not get an instigator? he attacks refs and should have been on a plane months ago, yet the refs protect him??? Bizarre?
Was Dowd playing?
For a team to battle all the way to a cup final and then say it isn't important??? really? it seemed important at 0-0, at 5-1 not so eh.
Don't give a monkeys who wins the league if not Panthers, hope we win every game regardless, hand the Steelers the title by turning in 100% performancein the league game. if shoes were on the other foot we know the steelers would roll over, prove we're better than them. no one likes us...good!
Hope to see Fife, Caps, stars and panthers at the play off finals.

Congrats on winning the CC again i wasnt at the game but was it as easy as the scoreline suggests or did it look as though the Giants are saving themselves to beat us on the weekend??
Again congrats on winning CC again

The first leg, Giants couldn't have beaten Dundee and Fife with the way they played, however the 2nd leg, started well, but the Giants controlled the last 2 periods.
Hate how so many people are STILL criticising after winning a cup. Silverware is Silverware at the end of the day!
I can honestly see us doing the double again this year, and if anybody thinks that is an underachievement they must be deluded.
Would love to see just 1 underdog team at the finals weekend though... Maybe Stars or Stingrays would be awesome. Belfast will win the league this weekend, can't see them letting that go too.
